Did you save any of your favorite toys from your childhood?

I had that Troll House!

I kept all my Barbies/Kens, Boxo (a stuffed dog I wagged around forever), some games. My sister has an Alexander doll named "Deana" that she made us BE QUIET around when she was napping. Deana still looks great. My Barbies all have custom haircuts and earrings.:thumbsup2

I think that's it, but it's different than I remembered. Let me see if I can find a picture online.

Here it is!

Oooh, I like your troll house, LB!

And is that a Fidget? Or was it a Widget?

I think I have liddle kiddles!! You see my mom took some of the "toys" or "dolls" and then took a hot glue gun and added a hook- or somehow fit them on our Christmas tree!!

Like I have Buffy and Mrs Beasly - (talk about dating oneself!! ) from Family Affair - the buffy is about 6 in tall - and she holds a 1 inch Mrs Beasly - she now graces my tree!! :goodvibes:goodvibes

Hugs4Eeyore- I'd LOVE to see photos of your Weebles!

I still have my old Snoopy plush from Hallmark (late 70s, early 80s) that had a large selection of outfits. I also have some Fisher Price Little People and an Adventure People set with a boat and a dolphin. I have a Playmobil cowboys and Indians set.

I wish I still had my Weebles circus, my Little People airport, Tree Tots amusement park and that McDonalds set with square people that could hold a tray in their neck area.

Yeah, I love my weebles!! I have more than this - I also have the Winnie the Pooh Cottage; one of the Treehouses, and the Magic Kingdom Castle (but sadly missing all parts to all of those) but those sets are in storage. But I do still have my childhood Mickey Mouse Clubhouse! :teeth:

The McDonalds square people set you describe must be the Playskool one - I have it, too! But it's in my church's playroom (or I would photograph that, too!) The Adventure People set you describe is the Sea Explorer #310. I have it somewhere around here!

I always wanted the Tree Tots Amusement park. When I saw commercials for it as a kid, I was just mesmerized by how you can attach it all together and make every ride move at the same time. One of these days I will get one on Ebay! But I do have the Tree Tots Treehouse with the original box! :)

I'm jealous so mAny of you kept some of your toys. The only thing I had were my Barbie dolls & case but it was ruined when my mothers basement flooded.
I'd love to have my 1967 blue one speed Schwinn bicyycle. I had a speedometer on it with miles as much as a car!

A few years ago I relived my childhood by buying some of my favorites on E-Bay. I got a Chrissy doll, Swingy, Go to the Head of The Class game, Mystery Date and Password. I even bought a few Tiger Beat magazines.

I did keep my baseball cards from 1973-1975.

Fidget (DS has one.)

Oh gosh, I had one! I remember you scratched your finger into the underside to make designs in it. I remember seeing mine only a couple of years ago, and it turned totally BLACK! Wish I could find that now! :rotfl:

I think his came from the Miles Kimball catalog.

I am so thankful that my mom let me save a lot of my stuff and not make us throw it out or give it away :lmao: I still have the My Little Pony stable and all my ponies. I also have all my original Strawberry Shortcake dolls. I love them and they still have their scent!!! And I have my Barbie fashion plates. I loved to draw and color when I was younger and I had a blast with those!

I still have most everything except perhaps my earliest childhood baby toys...but all my classic 80s toys I still have and continued to collect 2nd hand in later years- My Little Pony in particular but also Rainbow Brite, Strawberry Shortcake, Cabbage Patch...I didn't own any original Care Bears but I bought some when the new ones came out. Every time I go home to visit my parents, I go say hello to the old plush and dolls in the attic. It's like opening a time capsule.

Operation
Snoopy and the Red Baron

as well as a Chinese Checker set me mom had in which the "marbles" are actually painted rocks...none are truly round.

Neat! :thumbsup2

Where do you folks find photos of these things to post - those that aren't your own? :confused3

I just recently found one of my original trolls and some of my daughters trolls. My troll house was more cave like(dark plastic). I also found a topogigio figure(I am really old apparently) I did save a lot of my kids toys--the Fisher Price Farm, Main Street etc. I have all my daughters Barbies, the lego, the K'nex. They think I'm crazy but some things I just can't part with. The best was the puffalump that my son got for his first Christmas--he slept with that thing for years--had to be restuffed by my mother-in-law at least once. One night when he was about 3 I went to check on him before I went to bed and there was a big lump under the blankets--he had put his "puffer" inside his pajamas and zipped them up--it looked like he was pregnant--had to have a picture of that to blackmail him with one day-lol. I wish I had more from when I was a kid.

The little dolls you're talking about must be Liddle Kiddles in the locket version like this one:

:(
I was trying to tell my DD's about these just the other day and couldn't think of what they were called:goodvibes

Does anyone remember a auburn(sp) or red headed Barbie that talked by pulling the string on the back of her neck. I would have come out sometime in 1969 I think:confused3 I can't remember her name!
I've loved looking at the old toys.... the Flip Wilson doll story is too good, did she think Killer was after her:rotfl2:
