Im just wondering if it's really a good idea to study up/make a game plan before going to WDW.........

Did you get a guide before you went? Which one? What did you think?

Did you get the video disney sent? what is that like?

or did ya just come on here to learn stuff before you went?

scheduling?

I don't think you need to make a minute by minute plan but you surely need to know as much as possible before you go. At the very least you need to read about all the attractions so you can figure out which ones are the ones you must do and which ones you could forget if you run out of time. You need to throughly understand fast pass and the transportation system. You don't want to come home and then find out what you've missed. Be sure to read the thread about hidden secrets before you go. There are so many things that the guide books don't talk about but you will learn them here. Just make up your mind that your going to enjoy whatever you get to do and relax. :earsgirl:

How about all of the above?

I did it all. The planning is a hobby for me as I enjoy spending the time learning things about DW.

The Unofficial Guide to WDW is a great book to learn a lot of information.

The kids and I love watching the video. It's fun as it gives us reminders of our last trip and reminds us of what we want to do on the next trip.

This is a really good site as is www.allearsnet.com.

Good luck.

If you plan the park that you want to see, and then where you want to eat, thats a start. We sometimes do more then one park in a day. Good luck and have a magic time at the most magical place on earth. Its sooooo good. If you stop at Downtown Disney when you first get to town and pick up the folders for each park it will help.

I am also all of the above. I get the Disney video/dvd every year and just watch it for fun. I also read UG and Birnbaums guides just for fun, too. My best source of info has been the UG and the Dis. We usually don't do day by day iteneraries an tend to go wherever when the mood strikes, but thanks to the dis I have learned alot and even got into Cindy's for breakfast!

Definately buy at least one book, if not more. I have a Passporter and the Unofficial Guide to WDW and I've been there a bunch of times. I like to read what is new. You can get a tons of info off a lot of websites like this one, allearsnet.com, .... just Google Walt Disney World and see how many hits you get.
I would make some type of plan though like what days you are going to what parks, where to eat and if you need ADR's at them...

Most importantly-HAVE FUN!!!! :cool1: :Pinkbounc

I agree with the above. First watch the video so you get a feel for what WDW is all about. Next read a good guide book so you know what each attraction is about. This board would be next because you can ask any question conceivable on what you have read/seen and someone always knows the answer.

A plan for each day is probably a good idea so you can book any table service meals around where you will be, but you only need to decide on a park per day, not a minute by minute.

Godd luck with it all and above all, have fun!!
