I posted this on another thread but probably should have begun this new thread. I noticed the statement below in the Annual Report:

"Beginning on December 13, 2011, an updated version of the Disney Vacation Club Home Resort Rules and Regulations will be available. You may view these modified Home Resort Rules and Regulations at the Member Website provided above or you may request to have copies mailed to you by contacting DVC Compliance at xxx-xxx-xxxx."

Is a statement similar to this always in these booklets or are there some bigger changes than usual in the wind?

I have the 2011 budget for BWV, I don't see anything like that in last year's. What section was it in?

I was hunting around the member website, I don't see the current home resort rules & regulations. I'll have to dig up my paperwork. Sound ominous.

From the Home page, select the "Vacation Planning" tab (from the bar across the top, just under the links for the official Disney site), and then choose Making a Reservation. The link to the Home Resort Rules is near the bottom of that page. It's a .pdf doc and the current one is 17 pages.

I looked there and it was in last year's (2011) but it said "have recently been modified" rather than an actual date. So this maybe a usual disclaimer rather than an indication of a big change.

Found it, thanks. It was dated 1/2011. I saved it to compare with the new one.

I've also got one from 2009. And there are differences in definitions, various clarifications from the one currently posted on the member website.

The one from January also included language about the guaranteed reservation period (Aulani weeks sold).

I wouldn't read anything ominous into this, yet. (Keeping fingers crossed.) There have been several policy changes since the last time this was published. Hopefully, this statement simply refers to making the document match the rules and policy changes we're already aware of. Things that aren't reflected in the January 2011 document include:

• Inability to book Disney, Adventurer, and Concierge Collections with a resale contract purchased after 3/20/11
• Availability of one-time-use vacation points
• Ability to receive reservation confirmations via email instead of through the mail

I was thinking along these lines as well. Hope that proves to be true.

Doc mentioned something in his report from the annual meeting about home resort priority windows changing. I guess we'll find out on Tuesday when the new rules come out.

Update - this has been clarified. No change to booking windows mentioned at the meeting.
