I just finished looking at the ad and noticed it for the first time today! If it's a decent payout, I might use it.

It may be obvious but I don't think it's an even trade. I think they buy your card for a lesser amount but I may be wrong or everyone may already know this info....

I called my Target. The people at Customer Service were not familiar with it, so it must be new. They were attempting to connect with Mobile dept. about it. I got disconnected and had already held longer than I wanted to. If it's thru Mobile, I suspect there is a "catch," Target will want to make money.

So I guess we'll know more about this with a little time. If anyone finds out, post the details please.

...added note...I just did a quick search seems Target and Walmart are getting in on the GC trade-in business. Article said that these may not be the best way/best exchange rate to sell your GC. You may be able to sell for a better price than what they are willing to offer.... however, we all know that convenience and your special circumstance always plays a part in decisions.

I just called the customer service line for the trade-in site because the store I usually go to doesn't have the Target Mobile kiosk (and I called to verify it). She said that unfortunately the website just pulls the store list, not those that actually have the kiosk. I called the second store and they do have it, so I'm headed there in a bit.

I asked the rep how it worked and she said it varies by retailer. She said for example, a $25 gift card would get $16-22, depending on the retailer. I'm going to try my 2-$100 Sears gift cards here shortly and see how I make out.

Idk if you have a trip planned anytime but some people have been able to buy a Disney gift card with their gift card at sears/kmart. If you are planning to go that would be a better deal for you if it will work.

I tried yesterday and it didn't work. My KMart apparently is hard core with no GC to GC purchases.

Phooey. None of the cards I want to trade are on the list.

I decided to try Nutrisystem and got a Costco $60 for $100 deal and bought too many of them. I don't like Nutrisystem and am hoping Costco takes them back.

Back from my trade attempt.

They offered me $68 for $100 on a Sears GC. I declined. The guy who was assisting me was super nice and said that the payouts were laughably low. He said they offered him $22 for a $50 Foot Locker GC.
