Did you hear they are thinking of reviving these old TV shows?

Mr. Ed, Dark Shadows and Lost in Space!

I think it would interesting to see how they would do it, since special affects have come such a long way! It would also be interesting to see which actors and actresses would get the roles.

My mom was a BIG fan of Dark Shadows! I remember cutting trips short (from shopping or whatever) so that my mom could make it home in time to watch it!

I had read Mr. Ed and Dark Shadows were coming back, but I hadn't heard about Lost in Space. Dark Shadows has already been brought back once, I loved it, but it didn't even finish the season.

They are also making a movie about Bewitched. Nicole Kidman is playing Samatha.

I know they were interested in Jim Carey for Darin, don't know if they "worked" it out.

I loved Bewitched. Hope the movie does it "justice".

Who was Barnabus Collins? Was he Quentin's brother? I have very vague recollections of Dark Shadows, I guess I was 4 or 5 when it was on -- my brothers would sneak watching it when my Mom wasn't around.

I saw last night that they signed Will Ferrell as Darin and Shirley Maclaine as Endora.


And Dark Shadows, anyone remember Angelique? And I vaguley remember a teenage girl? I too used to sneak and watch it at the age of about 6. Then I couldn't sleep with the lights off.

I'm not sure Snoopy, he might have been. I remember vaguely that Quentin was a werewolf. I think Angelique may have been a witch but again I'm not sure.

They do currently rerun the shows on Sci-fi but I don't have the patience to watch them.

I loved Dark Shadows and Lost in Space! Mr. Ed was okay--I preferred the spooky and SF.

I did my best not to miss an espisode of these shows!

Angelique was the love of Barnabus Collins' (Jonathan Frid)--a vampire--life--she was dead and a ghost--could have been a witch in her lifetime. Quentin (David??? actor's name eludes me at the moment, but he was on Knot's Landing for a time I believe) was not a brother, but a member of the Collins family--he came later in the series. I don't recall him being a werewolf, just his ghostly stage when he was chasing after the governess. He was from the historical past of Collinwood Manor and a contemporary of Angelique. Maggie (Kate Jackson) was the governess to the two small children.

In Dark Shadows there was the here and now AND the past history of the residence and the folks who lived there. Through the ghostly presence of the ancestors, the two were tied.

I don't have Sci Fi on our cable, but I have caught this show at my sister's home (she's got Dish). It's really funny how it all comes back to you when you watch a few episodes. Unfortunately, my memory of the show has faded--goodness, it's been about 35-40 years!

On another note, did anyone see that Dr. Who is coming back? I just caught a blip about it--always loved that PBS show, too.

LOL, yup, I tried watching a repeat episode once when it first came back on Sci-Fi and couldn't make it through either.

Now that you say Quentin was the werewolf I am remembering. I think Barnabus might have been a vampire and I do think they were brothers.

They shouldn't remake Dark Shadows, the best part of the show was the terrible acting. I think Jonathan Frid messed up every line he ever said.
