Did you hear about United Air's Glitch Yesterday??
On the news this morning they said that for 45 min. yesterday on the United Website people were getting flights for $25.00!! United is going to honor those tickets!

Don't you wish it was you with a $25.00 flight??

My mom just told me about that. We would have traveled all summer if we could have bought tickets for $25 RT. Those people really got lucky.

but I thought they reported it to be $5.
At any rate, they got world's best deal! LOL

Heard this on the radio here this morning in Detroit...and to think I have been checking Uniteds website fairly often for good deals...just my luck, or thack thereof...

I never hit "deals" like that....

There are some lucky people out there going to some awsome places for nothing this year!!!

I, too, heard $5 per ticket according to WJR out of Detroit. It makes me curious where the flights were departing and the destinations. Did anyone hear that information. Previous glitches in internet sales were on AA and those tickets were $25 last fall.

I guess for those prices one could find a vacation location despite the destination--although I wouldn't want to be going north!

I too have been checking their site like several times a day...I was soooo busy yesterday that I didn't get on there at all!!!! I could KICK myself!!!

We are flying from CA to NH in August, and I was checking United's website all day yesterday for a better rate. I did not find the $5 roundtrips during the glitch as reported by our local news! Bummer. On New Years Eve, 01/02, our local consumer reporter featured a gentleman who had purchased 2 roundtrip tickets to PARIS on United's site for $19 each.

I happened to be home sick the day United had their glitch. I was checking on prices from Chicago to Las Vegas and we were some of the lucky ones! We got our plane tickets for $23.50 roundtrip!!! I couldn't believe it, we were afraid that United wouldn't honor the fare, but they will!!!

WOOWHOO. That's wonderful, I'm glad that someone lucked out! They said on the news that United was honoring the fares! Congratulations!

Glad to see a Dis'er got a great deal! Were you planning the trip before or after you found the great rates? I think I'd be heading to Disney every month this summer with those rates!

We had been planning the trip for about a month, but airfare was still pretty high, so we were trying to wait until it came down a bit! I'm just glad that I checked it when I did!!!

That's great. I was feeling all smug, because I scored $150 R/T flights from BOS to LAS in October. Yours puts me to shame Great job, and congrats for being one of the lucky ones.

Yep, we're glad someone lucked out with the tickets. Actually, it was my DH's company that made the error for United and he didn't even know about it at the time. I guess if he did though, he would have had to correct the problem and not go run and purchase tickets!!!
Oh well. He says these mistakes happen all the time, just keep monitoring your sites.
