did you have your dress pressed AGAIN for MK portrait session?

I'm trying to figure out if our gown and tux are going to look so rumpled we should have them spiffed up before the ridiculously expensive photo session the day after the wedding!

i didnt redo mine, it wasnt that bad, and the mk photos we had werent ridiculously close to the camera so any creases i did have werent that bad. i didnt get my dress steamed before the wedding, i just hung it in the bathroom and put the shower on hot! diy steaming!

I didnt have my re steamed before the MK shoot either. I had it done for our wedding 4 days earlier and it was still ok. I just hung it up in the wardrobe straight after the wedding and it was fine!

I do not plan on paying someone to steam my dress at all, for the wedding or the photo shoot.

I am going to have my alterations lady steam it when i pick it up after my final fitting and then she is going to turn it inside out. This way if something were to get on it through transit it will be on the inside, not the outside. Once in Florida I am going to hang it in the bathroom when I shower. My mom owns a hand held steamer that she got from Target or Wal-Mart or something. We plan on using that.

I would suggest getting a cheap hand held steamer or hanging it in the bathroom when you shower, this works VERY well. We did that with my sister's veil and it worked perfectly.

Same here. I had mine done for the wedding and didn't get it done for the shoot 4 days later it was creased and even a little dirty around the bottom but the pictures arn't that close up so i'm glad I didn't waste the money getting it done again.
