DH and I spent the weekend in Grand Rapids, we had points to use for the hotel rental and went to a couple malls. So many sales!! :)

Loved the Yankee Candle 50% off sale so bought 3 new large candles.

Barnes & Noble had some good sales as well. I got "A Christmas Story Treasury" book for $4.99, regular price was $19.99. Also 4 Christmas books by Donna VanLiere (the Christmas Shoes author) for $2.99 each.

At Penneys I got two of my favorite bras, $36 each but they were BOGO plus I had a $10 coupon so got them both for only $26. :woohoo:

And at Bath & Body Works I got 2 lotions, a body cream and a spray of one of my favorite scents (Forever Midnight) for 75% off!!!

What did you get?

I got nothing!!! In fact, when I went out, I found the prices to be higher than what I paid for them before Christmas.

I bought my son a coat from PacSun online on Cyber Monday and got it for $75.00. Of course it was too small so I had to return it. It would have cost me money to return online so I just took it back to the store, figuring I would reorder a larger size (store doesn't have it). The jacket is up to $110 now and the only "deal" on it is BOGO.

I went into a few other stores right after Christmas and didn't find any different/better deals. But I do agree that Christmas themed merchandise was definitely discounted.

Our grocery store had LED pillar candles for $1.75. I purchased six.

It took all my will NOT to purchase anything at BBW. I have so much already but the $3 body creams are hard to resist.

I should have gone to Lowes or Home Depot for a tree but didn't:headache:

I got a tree keeper bag for my artificial tree half off ($50) at Dillards. I wanted one last year but they were sold out.

Got one of those Yankee Candles at 50% off for DD who won't be arriving until tomorrow night. Plus a few trinkets at Target.

At Target I was kind of surprised at the greeting cards. Most of the seasonal section was set for Valentine's, but they left a small section of Christmas cards, probably just for situations similar to mine. Smart move.

Nice deal on those candles!! MIL got me a set pf 6 and I know they go for $20 at Costco before the holidays.

I have been able to avoid BBW too but I keep feeling the temptation to "just check it out".

I am heading to Target today to pick up a few things and plan to hit the clearance. I don't need anything but wouldn't mind some paper supplies or food items if they have anything interesting.

My best deal was Macys on 12/26. They had bras 2 for 19.99! Needed some plain beige ones for light colored shirts--nothing fancy-- but was very pleased to score two for so cheap!

Also hit BBW and got a ton of body cream lotion for $3 each.

I also hit BBW for the $3 body cream.

But my favorite - Shark steam pocket mop. Originally $120 at JC Penney. On sale for $59.99. And I had $30.00 in rewards coupons. Total - $29.99!

I was also able to track down the sweater my sister fell in love but could not find in her size. It is now about 75% off. So, I have her birthday present, as long as I can remember where I put it in September.

We mostly went for holiday decorations. We got a new tree, some lights for $1/box and this lighted Snoopy and Woodstock mailbox outside decoration I was eyeballing all season.:)

We hit up the Eddie Bauer outlet. Most things were 60-70% off. I had an additional 20% of bounce back coupon and they were handing out a 10% off coupon at the door.

I thought they would only do one coupon so I didn't take the 10% one but the guy checking us out said we honor both.

Score got over $500 worth of shirts and jackets for $50.60. :dance3:

Nothing too exciting. I had to exchange a jacket my dh gave me but the store didn't have the color I wanted so I just returned it. Found it online for $25 less and ordered it from there.

The tree skirt I wanted was sold out when I got there :( so I'm just going to make my own. Did get my son an elf on the shelf stuffy and a felix navidad cup though :)

I just ordered a ton of clothes online at Loft. They have an extra 60% off of sale items right now so I purchased about $400 of clothing (sale prices) for $160. About 1/2 - 3/4 of it will probably get returned since my size varies depending on each item but even if I only end up with 3-4 pieces, I'll be happy. :)

I had good success at Loft. All of the sale items were an additional 60% off and I paid $106.85 for $460 worth of clothes.

Not really anything good. I picked up my wrapping paper for next year at 50% off but that's a basic deal nothing really great.

I tried to go into BBW to pick up my DD some of her favorite scents but the place was a zoo so I walked out.

I don't really need anything and I decided not to go out hunting for any more deals other than maybe trying to get into BBW again tomorrow.
We'll see - I don't know if I have the patience for the traffic and rude people that were out and about the past couple of days. I almost rather would wait for a normal sale instead.

I got two great deals after Christmas.

I got DD a $190 Coach purse for $65 and us a Balsam Hill artificial tree that was originally $800 for $300.

The Coach is perfect for a teenager and she will be able to use it for many years to come. It is gorgeous, soft black leather crossbody with a beautiful dark teal interior and the only thing "Coach" on it is a small white tag that hangs off the strap.

I was pretty happy with those two. :rotfl:

La vie en rose had a buy one get one deal on everything. I bought a couple beautiful nightgowns for myself and the same thing as a gift for my SIL. I bought a new Pandora charm. There was a line up outside the store but no sale. Must be everyone else like me with some Christmas cash to burn. DD bought a lot of clothes not like she needs anymore. I liked Boxing Day this year better than christmas. You buy yourself what you really wanted for Christmas and everything is on sale. We even had dinner and saw a movie.

Stumbled upon a used DVD sale so ended up getting season one of Alphas for 5.99 and that lead to getting The A-Team for a dollar (also snagged the two disc Pacific Rim and some Doctor Who goodies).

I hit up Dillard's houseware department first thing in the morning. I got some serving pieces to match the Johnson Brothers Christmas pattern I am collecting. All for 50% off!!:cool1:
