Who else has felt the BURN today?

I did my aerobic/strentgh workout today. Haven't done anything these past 2 days, so it was a bit harder getting those stiff muscles to loosen up and work for me, but I did it. I do like the burn, I've decided. I like it because it is the thin person in me sreaming to get out! When I feel the burn, it's very localized and I can visualize how my body should look, based on where the burn is. I love it! My family thinks I'm a nut because I yell and scream at the videos when I'm working out. Good luck to all today! I'm off to walk with DH and have lunch!

Keep the Faith!

Great message, Tracy!!! I know what you mean about feeling the burn! It's awesome. :) Keep on being "crazy" and yell at those videos!!!

I just got back from my power walk. I ran about a block of it, but my ponytail holder kept slipping out so had to bring things back down to a fast walk. I walk fast enough to breathe hard, and my legs just want to break into a run. I think I need new sneakers!

Hope to see lots more posts like this today. C'mon everyone!

Ok, thanks to some motivation from a fellow DISer...(thanks TigH) I woke up this morning...did 70 crunches...did 20 minutes of upper body toning, and will take my walk at lunch for about 30 minutes...This evening I will try to sneak in the lower half toning.

Yeah I feel the burn....the ache and every sore muscle....lol :)

I've got to get started back on the weight training soon.

Off to use the elliptical trainer now. I hate doing that too, don't know why.

Way to go, Glo!!!! You are kicking my butt! You did crunches? Oh my goodness!!!! Now I need to do some! ;)

I just mowed the lawn, so I am adding that as part of my workout! :) heh heh heh

Mowing the lawn?!?!

I'm so jealous! I want to mow the lawn! We have had our snow storm, now I want sun and 80 degrees. TigH, living in the north is a workout in itself. Just getting one's care shoveled out is a sweat breaking chore. Winter is a real test of the will for those of us trying to live a healthy life. Plus we feel since we must endure these temps, we deserve a "winter coat".:p

Great to see everybody getting motivated today! Keep it up.

Keep the Faith!

I did the one mile Walk Away the Pounds today! I know that doesn't sound like much, but I was amazed I was able to get through it. I had cancer last year and had to do chemo. It really zaps your strength! I knew I was feeling better, but not enough to walk a mile.

If it wasn't for my WISH buddies, I probably wouldn't have done anything today, thanks for the inspiration!

Hopefully, on to the 2 mile walk in a few weeks.

Linda

Glad to see everybody motivated today!

I did my treadmill and the Torso Track today!
I am still sore from doing the TT yesterday, too!

Way to go, everyone!!!! Maybe I'm crazy, but I really feel a sense of pride and progress and control and empowerment when I read about all your exercise accomplishments. It does take some kind of effort to do these things for ourselves, but it is so worth it!!

Went for the evening power walk tonight and we ran the last part (about a half a mile). My husband threw in a curve at the last second and he and I kept running, so my sister ran with us. It was just to the next driveway, but it was more than she ran last night, so we both gave her lots of praise for making it just a little bit further.

Won't be doing my morning walk tomorrow because I am helping my parents move some stuff to our house. I'll just count the lifting boxes as exercise... ;)

Tracy, I will gladly let you come mow my lawn. You aren't afraid of snakes, are you? ;)

The only burn I had today was dealing with the fifteen year old. Oh, and cleaning off my desk in prep for my supervisory visit tomorrow. :p

I am feeling it this morning. After two days of the one mile video, i have some muscles crying out this morning. I have to remember that I want to do this and yes, it might be uncomfortable, but it will be great come pool time. Have a great day everyone.

Ok. I was going to sit here for a while and read and answer, but I'm going to visit with Gilad again! AAAAH! Hawaii!:bounce: I'll report back when I'm done.

Keep the Faith!

First thing's first. I did it. I'm tired and I did NOT enjoy that at all!
But I did it, and next time I do it, it will be better. Now i need to go to the thread about what we want to accomplish.

K e e p t h e F a i t h ! (that's me trying to look as tired as I feel
 )

Burn baby Burn...

Ok, I needed the jump start, but now I am obcessed....lol

woke up and did 110 crunches...don't ask my why 110 just did that many.

Then I did the toming weights for 25 minutes

and swam for 30 minutes....

I have to say oh yes, I feel the burn, and I feel every little muscle in my body that used to lay dormant...

Lets hope this jumpstarts the weight loss as I have been stalled for a week :)

Anyone else today?

Way to Go Glo!

110 crunches! You are obsessed, or is that posessed? Good for you! Go Glo! Go Glo! Go Glo!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Keep the Faith!

No burn, per say, but I did do my power walk with a little jog at the end (with my sister). :) Only one walk today, and only one planned for tomorrow. It's my big "cheat night" tomorrow night and I am really looking forward to it!!! MMMM! Beer, taquitos and jalepeno poppers. I might lift weights too...

Today, yesterday and ALL NIGHT LONG! OMG! I hardly slept all all last night, from being sore. I guess I over did it yesterday. I thought I would take today off, but then I decided to only do 1/2 hour with Gilad early and get something done. That led to 45 mins. of power yoga! I am still very tired, but I got it done.

Something about yoga really improves my focus for the rest of the day. The power in power yoga, for me, is self discipline (which I have very little of). Yoga makes me reallize I canhold a pose, awkward and painful as it may be, and it won't kill me to do it. Kind of like a mini Mt. Everest. Small steps to change my self concept from "this is too hard" to "I'm doing it in spite of the difficulty." Today I overcame the mental block of pain and inconvenience!:bounce: May it carry me through the rest of my day and into tomorrow. Good luck to all of you today as you work to get run over all your obstacles!:)

Keep the Faith!

120 crunches this morning....
3 reptition of some leg lifts a friend suggested for tummy toning :)

walked at a brisk pace...45 minutes
did toning weights for 22 minutes :)

Will do the 10 minute work out when I get home with DD :)
and my 8 minutes butt workout ;)

I'll jump start the weight loss again if it kills me....lol
