I thought I’d mention that I attended an outdoor wedding in a redwood grove years back. The bride wore a lovely, garden party-type of dress (ivory lace in a tea length). The groom wore black tuxedo tails, a white tuxedo shirt, a black cummerbund, a black bowtie, a pair of brand-new blue jeans (the bride insisted on them being new), a cowboy hat, and a pair of cowboy boots. The Best Man wore the exact same thing.

The wedding party looked adorable. The bride got her guy in a tux, and the groom got to wear blue jeans. They had the best of both worlds.

my future hubby and his crew will be wearing black tuxes, ties but NO vests. I am with some of you with the comfort level. They thought they would be too hot...i agreed.

I was originally worried about the heat, but since we are getting married in December, I figured he could suffer through it for just one day...

DF wears a suit and tie every day to work, so he wanted something to make him feel more "formal", so this is the tux that we, and by that I mean "I", have picked out for him....

We did a very dark grey suit (it looks black) with ivory shirts and a copperish tie. DH did not want a tux so this was a good alternative!

I was concerned with renting a tux, so I decided to buy a very nice black suit that I would have for years. I didn't want my guys to have to spend that amount after making them travel in from NY and TX, so we did rentals for them.

I wore my new suit, my dad wore his own tux, I bought a shirt and tie for him (no bowties), groomsmen and her dad rented tuxes, I provided ties.

I'm glad I brought my own, the rental place was TERRIBLE! We called about 2 weeks before we went down, and the store in FL had lost all of the measurements. We finally got that straightend out, and went to pick them up, the shoes were wrong (patent leather), the shirt was wrong (pleated), my brother's coat was too long, my other groomsman's pants and shirt collar were way too big. At least mine was right.

I'd post pics if it would let me. Maybe after I've hit the minimum post count.
