I see that you can now buy your DDE card at guest relations at the theme parks. Has anyone done this?? I'm afraid to do this and find out that I was suppposed to order it ahead of time. Does it still expire a year from date of purchase??

I did it when I was just there a couple weeks ago. I went to the will call outside of MK to pick up my PPP tickets and asked if they could get me the DDE card, too. I thought I had to go in the park to guest services, but she was able to get one for me right there. It took all of 30 seconds. No problem at all.

I bought mine at guest relations in Epcot two weeks ago. :thumbsup2

DH and I bought ours at Guest Services a couple of weeks ago. As the PP indicated, it took seconds. The only difference between buying at WDW and ordering it in advance is that the DDE card that you get at WDW is a paper card (like the park tickets). The previous two cards that we had were plastic like the room keys at the resorts.

I bought ours at Guest Services in MK on 12/26/07 and it expires on 2/7/09. I showed them our AP's, handed them the cash and in a minute I had it in hand.

I purchased mine ahead of time, since we were not arriving until late on the 27th and my AP actually expires next week. I wanted DDE in place for our first night but before we purchased our new annual pass the next morning.

We purchased ours on Dec. 15th at the back gate of Epcot. It took all of 2 mintues to get it. We charged it directly to our room and they gave us a list of participating restaurants and lounges.

Also if you purchase it on or after the 15th of the month it does not expire for 1 year plus a month. So we got ours 12/15/2007 and it lasts until 1/31/2009

Good information....I am buying one on Sunday YEAH!!!! Anyway - so I cant actually buy it at the ticket counter that I purchase the AP from?

Thanks

January 11, 2008: We bought our DDE card in person at Guest Services in DTD at the same time we bought DH's AP and MYW passes for two kids. In and out in three minutes and $1000. :upsidedow
