Hard to believe everybodies trips are coming up so fast. I guess we are going to have alot of Trip Reports to read soon. How sad.

How exciting!! We may be going around that timeframe also. I want to go for DS's first birthday, but not necessarily ON his birthday. I was thinking middle of October would be a good time to go. We went the first week of October on our honeymoon and had a great time, so I'm looking forward to another fall/Halloween trip! And I wish you luck with the TTC/fertility treatments. Doing WDW pregnant wasn't all that bad, I just needed more breaks than usual and we took it at a slower pace. But we still had an AMAZING time! Hey, maybe we will run into you next year!

awesome- well keep me posted and maybe we could meet up!! yeah, i purposely avoided his birthday weekend (halloween) because i think Jersey week starts then. and i wanted to avoid Columbus day crowds too- so the 15-22 was perfect for avoiding both! thanks for the WDW preggo tips! i figure it will be a good excuse to take it easy and do some different things at a slower pace!

DAY SIX, THURSDAY, DECEMBER 9
The night before isn’t too late thankfully- we will have done the Candlelight Processional and hopefully be tucked in bed by 10:30 or so. We can hope right? So today, we are up about 7:30, so should be a good solid night of sleep and rest!

We will have breakfast in the room and then head to Epcot for the morning! It opens at 9am today. Today’s plans will just take us to what we might have missed so far. I am hoping we will have already tackled the big e-ticket attractions like Soarin and TT, but we can always go for second and/or third rides if we want!

We will have already spent our arrival night at Epcot, as well as Monday morning and of course Tuesday night. So I am hoping by now, we can tackle some of the other things- like maybe Turtle Talk, Innoventions and finish World showcase, maybe see some of the holiday entertainment! We will just be taking it easy.

At 12:30, we have lunch ADRs at Chefs De France- hoping to catch Remy! I haven’t seen the entire movie yet, but hope to watch it this weekend. I have it at home! We will probably show up at noon and see if we can get in early. i want to try and take an earlier break today to get back to the MK early tonight. I love Chefs and will either be having the mac/cheese or the croquet monsier, the toasted ham and cheese sandwich! I’ll start with the French onion soup!

After lunch, we will mosey back to the monorail and back to the room for a break. This is our second to last full day- so sad!! The trip hasn’t even started yet, and here I am being sad for it ending already. I might start organizing and packing a little while we take our break. I want to get in a nice rest for my son, as tonight is our big MVMCP night!!

I think our plan will be to be back in the room by 2ish and rest for 2 hours minimum……


I want to head to the MK by 4:30 so we can try and catch the 5pm flag ceremony. I saw this in DL in September and it really touched me. I know DH will love it.

After htat, we will grab some fast food at Cosmic Ray’s probably for dinner. I know DH likes the roasted chicken option for something healthy (plus huge portions to share with my son). Fortunately, Pooh is open to eating anything and is just as likely to eat grilled chicken as he is to eat a chicken nugget or pizza. He isn’t a junk food maniac (unlike his mother)! So it’s nice to have a healthy option.

After dinner, we will just hit whatever rides we want, probably starting in tomorrowland and trying to get a FP for Space or Buzz. We don’t have huge plans for the party tonight- we typically enjoy the party for the extra hours it gives us to ride rides with shorter lines as others are catching holiday shows, characters and parades. But we might catch some characters this time too- just depends on what Pooh wants.

Last year, we were able to ride a TON of rides during the first parade. That will be our plan again- avoid the first parade and hit rides. We got some great time in Mickey’s house with hardly anyone else in there during the parade, plus we rode barnstormer 3x (walk on) and teacups. So we will hit toontown again- I’ve never seen Minnie’s house, so we might do that. Before it is all gone probably in the coming year or two.



here is DS on his first roller coaster- he loved it on the first ride, but seemed a little scared on ride 2 and 3, but wanted to do it! lol

We will catch a spot to watch the Holiday Wishes fireworks and then catch the second parade.

Last time we caught it in frontierland and might try that again- fewer crowds. We also plan to meet up with some lovely ladies from my Disney moms thread- and finally meet in person with our kiddos after chatting for years online! Not sure what time we will meet- might be earlier in the night. We also talked about catching the frontierland dance party with Woody and Jesse too- so plan to seek that out at the Horseshoe Review.



Of course we will partake in the free cookies and goodies. Pooh drank his own weight in apple juice last time. Of course this time, we are potty training, so gotta watch that! Lol

We will try and stay as late as feasible with Pooh- since the second parade is so late, that usually means until after 11pm. So we will see- at least it is a short walk or monorail ride back to the hotel!

ONLINE check in complete.......

T minus 10 days and counting!

The DVC check in wouldn't let me add the room request online, but i had already done so through member services on the phone anyhow. I added my MIL and nieces 'first trip' as a 'celebration' and already had my son's 3yo birthday too. maybe we will have a little card or something for them at check in. we will see!

feeling like crap today.....just the usual female fun monthly stuff. i always get really sick to my stomach and feel bad for a few days. Plus last night at bunco, one of the ladies suddenly wasn't feeling well----she was drinking sprite and asked for saltines....said she had a bad headache.......and other friends just fought off the stomach flu recently and said it started with a headache. the stomach bug is going around and this lady is a elementary school principal....around lots of kids. i hope she doesn't have it and didn't spread it around at bunco last night. i was washing my hands like a mad woman!!! took extra vitamins this am too. please no stomach bug! i hope we can all stay healthy pre-trip and during!

I've not done that before.. although we could do this trip.. I've not made any room requests.. but as we've got a 'Boardwalk View' studio, I think it'll be pretty good where-ever it is!

hope you keep healthy & away from all those winter bugs! I'm hoping no one I work with gets ill over the next two weeks .. generally I don't catch colds (touch wood!) but a couple of months ago I had one and it really knocked me out; I kept thinking, "what if I had this on vacation?!" lol

woo hoo------------since it is after 10pm today, i am not counting today, so that leaves only 5 days until our trip!!

So this long holiday weekend- i enjoyed getting off at 2pm on Wednesday (thanks boss!) and of course was off Thursday/Friday. I work in marketing for a software company and have the typical 8-5 M-F office job. So just 5 more work days- hoping to head out a little early on Friday maybe, we will see!

I had already packed my backpack, my son's carry on and his backpack. now i finally packed DH and i today. We are using one HUGE suitcase borrowed from my sister, so that we only have to check that one big bag.

and no diapers!!!! my son finally is wearing big boy underwear- yee haw! no packing pull ups!

yes, here is hoping we all stay well- i am starting to take my airborne tomorrow!!! i have 5 days in the office, including a big user group meeting, so hoping everyone i come in contact with is healthy!!

this is our first time doing online check in too- can't wait! yeah for your BW view- i bet it will be amazing. i can't wait to see pics of it- BW is on our 'to stay' list for a future trip!

lol at doing it 3 times- i didn't realize you guys had a split stay? or did you just have to book it that way? yeah, i am debating on the check in for flights. we have to check bags, and i usually use the machine anyways, so it is pretty easy. we have preassigned seats anyhow and the first flight out- so should be easy. i hope. lol

i don't have a printer at home either. too funny- i always print at work too. i have to run over and quickly grab the stuff so others don't wonder why the hell someone is printing such a detailed itinerary for disney.

DAY SEVEN, Friday, December 10

oh no, i am running out of time- so going to get all my plans up and finished!!! only 3.5 days to go!!!

So after such a late night with MVMCP the night before, we will probably take it easy this am. No alarm clock or having to get up at 7 or 7:30. We will sleep as long as Pooh lets us, which will probably by 8am at the latest……even when he is up late, he still wakes up pretty early. So once we are up and dressed, the plan is to hit the MK again. I am hoping on the morning after a party, it won’t be too crazy, but who knows. It is another party night at the MK too- so maybe it won’t be too bad as folks do other things and just come in that night for the party? That’s my hope at least!

No big plans since we are nearing the end of our trip. Today is our last full day! BOO HOO!!!!! So really we will just do whatever we might have missed in the MK. Like Epcot, we will have spent a lot of time in the MK, so by now, hopefully we will have hit all the favorites and can just go back for the little rides we might have missed or favorites again etc.

Today is fast food lunch or a sandwich in the room. If we do fast food- it will probably be Pecos Bill’s or Pinnochio’s. We will head back for a break again today- and will finish packing probably during our break. Today is also the DVC Merry Mixer for DVC members! It is from 3pm-5pm in the Contemporary in one of the ballrooms. I hear they have an ornament or gift usually, free snacks, and character photo opportunities! So we want to check it out. This will fall in the middle of our break time, so if Pooh is resting, I may just head over a lone- it’s an easy walk across the sky bridge to CR from BLT.

The plan for our last full night in the world is Epcot. We will probably head over to Epcot around 5ish. Just take the monorail over. Again, we will just hit anything we missed, maybe last ride on spaceship earth, the lines for it in the afternoon are usually pretty short! We will head back to world showcase as we have 7:45pm ADR for the new Via Napoli! I cannot wait to try this restaurant. I have heard some really great reviews. I can’t even decide what I want to try hear, the pizza or the pasta. Maybe we get a little of each and share? The pepperoni or margherita sound good. Some of the pasta looks good too! I also want to try the arancini appetizer too. Maybe even some dessert!

After dinner, no plans, Epcot is open for EMH tonight until 12:30am! So we will just enjoy our last full night in the parks and stay as long as we aren’t tired! Then we will say so long Epcot until next year!

DAY EIGHT, Saturday December 11

Our LAST day.......boo hoo. I already have post trip depression just writing this and i haven't even started the trip yet! I usually get that way the last day or two and then especially after the trip.....not knowing when we will go back. It is usually an every 2-3 year visit for us.......but now, this time is different, now that we bought DVC, i know we will be back and I am hoping this will ease the post trip depression. We are already booked for October next year!!! So i can come back and start planning all over again.

So as our last day we will sleep in a bit and finish packing. We will have done the EMH night at Epcot pretty late probably (12:30am), so sleeping in will be nice.

We have an ADR for Chef Mickey's at 10:05am. I figure this will give us time to check out bags with the resort airport service and get our boarding passes and still have a leisurely morning. So check our bags on the way out to Chef MIckey's and say good bye to our home for the last week. We will put any carry ons in the car probably (we have a rental).

We will head to breakfast and have a great time with the fab 5!! We did the dinner last year and I wasn't impressed with the selections, so I am hoping breakfast is better. It's been years since we've done the breakfast here.

After a great meal with Mickey- we will just play it by ear and take us wherever we feel like we missed. Of course I always like to end the trip at the MK, so we will see if there is somewhere else we want to go other than the MK- it would be easy to just walk over or take the monorail. So no solid plans this day other than the ADR for breakfast and heading out to the airport.

We have a 6:30pm flight back to Dallas. Since we have a rental car, i figure we will leave WDW no later than 4pm. We will have already checked our bags at the resort and have our boarding passes, so I figure that is plenty of time. The return car process for National is easy and right there at the terminal. So we will have probably from about 11am-4pm to play......5 hours in the MK or wherever.

So after playing the day away and catching what we might have missed, we will make the sad drive back to MCO and head home to DFW. Our flight arrives at 9:30pm and i have a car service picking us up. So it should be easy- grab bags and head home. We live about 20 minutes away from DFW with no traffic, so hoping we can be home by 10:30 at least. Then crash!!! I planned us to come home on a Saturday so that we would have sunday to recuperate. I usually would have added that day, but I know MIL and my niece will have a 2.5 hour drive back to Oklahoma from our house. And with all of us heading back to work, it is nice to have a day to relax after the trip. You know we won't be doing much relaxing on the trip.

so that's the plan----i am a little sad this trip isn't longer. Since we usually only do a trip every 2-3 years, we usually stay longer- 8 days minimum, up to 10 days. Last December we arrived on thursday, 12/10 at night and left on sunday am, 12/20, so we had 10 nights. This time we have 7 nights, although we arrive early (9:45am) on the first day and leave late (4pm) on the last day, so it is like having almost 8 full days.

So that's the plan. We, well okay, I, tend to go commando a bit sometimes. Especially when i am showing someone new around- like my MIL and niece- who are first timers. I like to be sure they get to hit all the headliners without long waits etc. So i tend to push a little hard sometimes. Here's hoping they can keep up or I can slow down.

I am also very excited to take this trip with my son. He just turned 3 and we are so excited to take him this year. Last year, he had just turned 2 and wasn't quite talking a lot yet. Now he talks up a storm (was a late talker) and so it will be fun to hear his opinion on everything and hear his questions and awe!

With the 40% off PIN I decided to do the split stay. This way we are at a monorail resort when we will be focusing mainly on MK and EPCOT. Too bad the PIN wasn't good for our first day so I wouldn't have needed 3 ressies.

Printing for me isn't bad. We have to use our access cards to print stuff on the printer, so I can send it to the printer and whenever I get over there to use my access card is when it prints.

You are very close- we have a lot of friends in Rockwall (and more in Rowlett)- i went to HS at Mesquite Poteet---grew up in Mesquite, although my parents just moved last month out of Mesquite finally to Frisco--- graduated in 1992 from PHS!
