WOC was awesome! Wendy and Nancy skipped out- too tired, but Mandy, mom and I loved it and had a great view from the handicap section too.

So I have started my disneyland trip report- it isn't too long, and I have finished day one. I am doing a disneyland actual report you can view HERE

But we had a great time- we did the Walk in Walt's footsteps tour, saw Fantasmic, did the World of Color dining package etc. We definitely felt small world, peter pan, fantasmic, space mtn and pirates were better at DL than at WDW. But everything else we thought ruled at WDW! Some highlights:

• accidentally driving into the cast member parking lot and cutting off a pretty annoyed cast member
• getting stuck in the burger king drive through by a fire truck treating some drugged out lady on the side of the road
• finding a mystery birthday cake in our fridge at the hotel
• 4:30 am knocking on the door loudly and for a half hour
• cheese sauce chemical spill on the tram
• peter pan and hook joining our tour
• seeing Naveen Andrews
• rope drop run and more!

I want to go there sooo much.. one day! I think I could tempt DF (well.. he will be DH by then!) on a West Coast USA road trip vacation.. we could go to San Francisco, Las Vegas and California... and - oh - I think there's something in Anaheim I'd quite like to visit.. !!

thanks! yes, it is well worth a trip and if you are coming over, you might as well check out all of cali too- there is some beautiful coast out there.

we did have a fab time! funny enough, it was walking through 'adventureland' of all places. LOL I swear he was wearing a white wife beater like he did on the show, a cute fedora and shorts. i remember seeing his curly black hair after i looked back too. I wish i would have gotten a pic, but was pushing mom at the time I think in the wheelchair.

it was really great and special to be in Walt's first park. but i have to say that WDW will always be first in mine. We were surpriesd just how compact everything was and we did miss certain things that we love at WDW, plus we always stay on site at WDW and didn't in DL. if we go back, we vowed we would stay at the grand californian. I could use points there anyhow, just didn't have any left to use this year.

so trip update!

we are UNDER 75 days now!

Not much change on our plans, except I did add an ADR and cancel a few of the extra ones we had booked. We booked La Hacienda, the new mexican table service for 8:15pm for our first night- Saturday, 12/4. It says you have floor to ceiling windows with views of Illuminations, but i want to hear some reviews over the next month to see how good the views really are etc. plus the food. We are fine with doing the counter service outside too- in fact, that menu is probably more appealing to me anyhow. So we will see.

I do plan to buy our MVMCP tickets this week too- for 12/9!

Now i can focus more on our plans for WDW now that our DL trip is over. I have a goodie bag planned for my MIL since it is her first trip and one for my son too. I'd like to start a countdown calendar for him too.

But the next month or so is going to be really busy- we have a joint bday party for him next weekend, even though it isn't his bday yet, we are doing a joint one at a bounce house place. His cousin will be 4. Then week after next, i head to San Francisco for 3 days for work. First weekend of October, we will hit up the Texas State Fair, which is a big deal here. Take DS to enjoy some rides there. Then heading to a place called canton about 45minutes outside dallas that is a huge flea market type place, talking gigantic, lots of crafts, cute decor, antiques etc. Then Oct 10th, hosting a baby shower for my little sister. Then have a work trip to Seattle for 3 days. Following weekend, have a halloween party at my BIL's. Then before we know it, Halloween is here. And after that, we only have a month basically until the trip. I can't believe it. Time is going to fly. it won't be long now!!! but talk about crazy busy. I made a trip to party city to buy some toy story 3 stuff for the birthday party, at the same time, i was buying baby shower stuff and also halloween stuff (hosting bunco with a halloween theme in october too). too funny!

[/QUOTE]yeah, me too probably. I also didn't want to buy him, he was walking very fast and with a purpose. I can only imagine how often he gets stopped while trying to enjoy a day with family and friends (or any celebrity for that matter). i know they 'asked for it' when they got into the biz, but still, i don't like to bug them. plus, when working as a CM, we were under strict orders to NOT bother celebs when we were working. since i worked during that big 25th anniv celebration, there were tons of celebs there that night. my roomie saw susan lucci and a bunch of others all the time at MK too.
