WS was very packed after the first CLP, but during the day it was dead

yeah, i couldn't get over how packed WS was on that Friday night before we left (12/10). it was insane! i prefer WS in the day time anyhow to see all the details of the buildings and stuff.

Don't worry. I also think the soup has been over-hyped. I had it and it tasted like it had too much flour in it. The bread was FRIGGIN AWWWWESOME!! Loved, loved, loved the pretzel bread. It was kind of like Auntie Anne's pretzel sticks. Buttery bread, with just the right amount of salt.

lol! now that you say it, you are right, it wasn't very cheesy. and it was a bit spicy too, but that i enjoyed since i like hot stuff. but did LOVE the pretzel bread, always have. we always ask for extra of it! i did buy a recipe book this year that has the cheese soup in it, i need to look up the recipe and try it at home and add some actual cheese!

Mmmmm Le Cellier! I'm not a cheddar fan to begin with so I've never had the soup. Sounds like I'm not missing much. The pretzel bread is delish! I've never had anything other than the mushroom filet because it's just too darn good to ask for anything else --- drool!!

We noticed the craziness around WS when CP was on too. The lines, the crowds lingering to try and catch a performance..... we were even blocked off one day completely from crossing outside the theatre - don't know if that's normal or not? Whoopi would have been so cool to see! Do the narrators wander the park before or after their performances do you think?

We saw Duffy several times but never stopped to meet him. He hasn't grown on us yet and just doesn't scream Disney to me. I don't know.

I never even heard of Duffy til I got down there. Is this Disney's answer to Build a Bear. I nice way to get you to buy a bear and then buy clothes from each country for the darn thing. I didn't bother with him.

The New York Strip Steak was very yummy!!!

I didn't see her in the park but on the View on Monday she complained about people who don't need scooters using them and running into her... it was kinda funny like a DIS thread on live TV

I'm not that into Duffy but Eryka seemed to take to him so a christmas dressed one found its way into my suitcase

Illuminations was beautiful, I will make a point to see it every trip now!!!

The difference between build a bear and Duffy is they can only bug me for Duffy stuff when i am at WDW, build a bear is everywhere

I TOTALLY forgot that I had the Cooking with Mickey and the Disney Chefs book and this recipe was in it. It has 3/4 lb. of grated white cheddar to 1 cup of flour in it. White cheddar is very mild which probably accounts for the overpowering flour taste. I really wish they would have thrown in the recipe for the pretzel bread with this book!! I'd rather have that.

Try adding a little medium cheddar, I think it has a better taste

My husband and I both love the Cheddar Cheese soup. I didn't find it tasted like flour, but I do like hot things so maybe I've burnt out my taste buds.
