Did they film some of Pirates on Castaway Cay?

I don't know. But dh and I were saying if they didn't they should for the 3rd one. Just a small scene or soemthing, to throw in for the big Disney fans.

It's my understanding that the third Pirates of the Caribbean was filmed simultaneously with the second so it's done already. Bummer, huh?

They did work on some of POC3 while filming POC2 but both Depp & Bloom have said that they are still working on POC3 in recent interviews. Hurricanes apparently set them behind schedule last year.

I saw on tv that they filmed the island scenes on Dominica...no mention of CC. I think if they had filmed at all on CC we would have known here on the DIS already

They start to finish filming for POTC 3 in August ...No they havent filmed at CC nor I deont think they plan too

My friend is a set builder and he worked on POC I and II. They shot some of the exterior for III while shooting II somewhere in the Bahamas so they wouldn't have to take the whole cast and crew back. They're building sets even as I type this for POC III in soundstage Lancaster, CA (which is a hot, desert town about an hour away from L.A.

Right now my friend is working on Ocean's 13. Cool!

I saw in ending credits that POC2 was filmed in Bahamas and Dominica....

also, just read crawl on bottom of CNN that Keith Richards is due on set in early September to shoot scenes as Capt. Jack Sparrow's father.....
