Did the park hours for August change?

I swear that I saw that one of the parks was opening at 8 a.m. in the middle of August so I was thinking that we would have to be there before 7 for early entry. I checked it again and it's showing opening at 9.

I'm more than fine with the extra hour of sleep. I was just curious if anyone else had noticed this or maybe I hallucinated the 8 a.m. opening time?

Yes they changed a few days ago.

Are they likely to change again or stay the same now? We are there Aug 20-23. Where is the best place to confirm the hours while we are there?

I thought I was going crazy too! I'll be there the same week, and I will NOT complain about sleeping in an extra hour each morning.

In case you like to get told when this happens...the Dibb (UK site for Orlando stuff) has an alert you can set to let you know if park hours change during your dates. http://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/parkhours.php There's a little click-to-open window "do you want to be notified...". I signed up to use their (excellent) free vacation planner, so you may need to do that to get the alerts--not sure as I do have a username anyway.

I was so excited they changed them, getting to HP at 7 was going to be rough, 8am is more doable.

I am pretty happy about the change as well, we are getting there on the 4th.
