Did Perry Como originally sing Bibbidi-Bobbidi Boo before it was featured in Cinderella?

I found a Perry Como album that featured his version of Bibbidi-Bobbidi Boo and I wonder if he had sung it before it was used in Cinderella? I do know the Special Edition DVD of Cinderella has a clip of Perry Como singing Bibbidi-Bobbidi Boo from a TV show about Cinderella. So i'm wondering if this song was originally featured on the original Cinderella soundtrack record from the 1950's. Was Perry Como planning to release an album of his versions of Disney songs and release this song as a single?

There are at least five versions of the song release in the four months leading up to Cinderella being released in the theaters, Perry Como being the most popular. Considering the development time in animating a feature like Cinderella, it can be assumed Disney had recorded their film version around 1948, long before Como's, but released afterwards.

Como's record also has "A Dream is a Wish the heart Makes" as a B side, so it was probably a deal with Disney for promotion leading up to the film.

It was absolutely propmtional work for Disney. It's the same way that today they have the film version of a song, then a version done by a popular artist as well (sometimes the same featured int he movie, sometimes not). The songs could get quite popular in the lead-up to the film's release.
