Did King George III really tar & feather colonial soldiers?

(Another 4th grade history question because you did so well with the 1st one) What did King George do to punish the soldiers after the Boston Tea party?

DS thinks he tarred & feathered them :crazy2: but we can't find any reference material to support this. We do know about the Intolerable Acts but they don't really address the question.
 
Actually it was the colonists who tarred and feathered Tories during this era. The British closed Boston Harbor in retaliation for the Tea Party, as part of the Intolerable Acts. Which soldiers are you referring to? I don't remember any soldiers being singled out for punishment.

Thanks Cathy - the worksheet question is exactly as I have posted it. I assume she mans the colonial soldiers but you make a valid point.
