Did it hail where you are today? Are you having strange weather patterns?

Was sitting here this morning working on the jeans quilt I'm making for my DGD and could hear this "pinging" noise on my a/c window unit.. Looked outside and saw it was hailing.. Both of my lots were totally covered with pea-size hail.. I had no idea we were in store for anything like this - now I'm hearing we may have some measurable snow tonight.. What the heck? Over the weekend it was in the 70's!! This coming weekend it's supposed to be in the upper 70's..

What's with the wacky weather? :confused3 Anything unusual going on in your neck of the woods?

we were CONSIDERABLY under the normal temps for today, we didn't even hit 50 degrees and by now we're at least in the 60's. it even snowed in certain parts of the area.

by the end of the week they're calling for mid-70's tho

Yes, weird weather !? Last night we had tornado warnings, today was calm sunny 65*, yet the kids at school said they had light hail outside at recess. :confused3

The weather has been so strange since I arrived here on April 7th (upstate NY - Adirondack Mountains), it really has me wondering what the summer will be like.. I wouldn't mind cooler, less humid temps - but I'd hate to have an extremely rainy summer.. I'm not a big fan of rain - except at night when I can hear it pattering on the roof when I'm going to sleep - and it would really throw a major monkey wrench into the plans of my DD and her family because all of the activities they enjoy are outside or on the lake..

Yikes!! I heard that the south got battered pretty hard recently, but I never would have even thought of tornado warnings in your neck of the woods! Glad nothing came of it..:goodvibes

well Upstate NY Isn't exactly known for sunshine and nice weather....so yeah...there will be a lot of rain in the summer. it'll definatly be cooler than what you're probably used to, but we still get the humidity...i hate it!

I'm in the lower part of the Adirondacks, so we don't get the same type of weather that points further north do.. Actually the summers are usually pretty nice here - with the exception of the humidity.. Lots of sunshine, typical summer temps and minimal amounts of rain - unless it's an unusually rainy summer..:goodvibes A few years back we had rain for weeks and weeks on end - which was horrible!! I'm hoping we don't have a repeat performance of that.. I guess only time will tell.. "Cool" I'll take - constant rain? Not so much - LOL...

I'm in the Cleveland area so we do get a lot of weird weather, often thanks to our lake and the lovely lake effect snow it provides us. I didn't notice any hail or sleet today and we have a glass roof over part of our building so I usually hear it if we do.

I spent a couple of years in FL and while everyone that hasn't lived down there thinks I am crazy I prefer the weather here. I like the seasons and even like winter, though I could deal with a shorter one. We do get a pretty long warm season starting about now and usually going through September.

Of course I could deal with a couple of months in FL every year but I wouldn't like to live there year round again.

We had bad storms with hail today also, 3 days after tornados did massive damage within 40 miles of me. The temp dropped 15 degrees in 10 minutes. It was scary, I was expecting a warning but it was just a nasty thunder storm Thank God.
