I'm trying to find out what the SOUND QUALITY is of the disney AV set up.

I have some movie soundtrack CDs I want played for seating, and going up the aisle and stuff

but I want to make sure the disney sound system guys can play it LOUD and DRAMATIC.

not wimpy sounding!

if it is going to sound lame i would rather just go with a violinist i guess.

please if anyone has done this already, or spoken about it with your wedding planner -- please PLEASE let me know!

thanks!!!!

lisa

i'm thinking about having cd music played at my ceremony as well.

i don't know first hand, but i've heard others say that the quality is really good. sorry i didn't help very much lol

the quality is very good. We had the Fantasmic Finale Music played and it was very energetic.

I'm having CD played at our wedding in oct.
Awsome celtic sounding stuff.
Really really good stuff.

Hi Liberty,

Did you book direct or through an agent? Virgin have told us that we can't have cd music for our wedding.

Have you had any contact with your wedding planner or has virgin done everything??? I hate to break it to you but I have heard some bad things about virgin (I don't have any experience with them though) so I would call DFTW and double check things and stay on top of everything. There shouldn't be a reason that you can not have cd music and if there is then virgin should tell you why specifically i.e. that venu can not have it because..............

i used a cd for my processional it was dramatic & beautiful with the sound system. we also had a harpist & violinist for our ceremony music too.

also let your musicians know the music you want, some soundtrack songs are well known & they may have the sheet music. we used some enchanted evening for our recessional.

We re definatly gonna use songs played from cd's at our wedding, having the songs we want played by say a violionist wouldn't be the same as we really want the lyrics sung with the music so a cd is the only way to get the songs played the way we want.

So far have decided on using Everlong acoustic by Foo Fighters & My Favourite Thing by Silverchair (which is our song). We re both massive rock fans so instrumental musics not really our thing, tend to like something played that has a clear meaning. I also really like Walking After You yet a gain by Foo Fighters but have not shared that one with my df yet

Think i read while a go that to save money a couple went out & purchased a cd player just for the occasion which worked perfectly & saved them a fair few $'s

i'm psyched to know my CDS will be LOUD and not small and tinny sounding

i also love to hear what other people are playing at their wedding!

we're doing all movie music. big orchestral scores.

and i'd rather have a whole symphony instead of just one violinist

thanks again!

:)

PS. what is Virgin?

Virgin is a Tour Operator and airline.

The airline is known as Virgin Atlantic. The Tour operator is Virgin holidays. They are owned by a very rich man named Richard Branson. England based company.

I used a CD in '03 for an Intimate wedding. I wanted classical music in the original form and didn't like the way it sounded on the electronic organ they have in the WP (no offense to those using the organ of course!). It sounded fine, not wimpy at all. I provided the CDs and there was no extra charge at that time. HTH :)

We booked through First Choice, holiday side is great but wedding team is useless. Can't answer questions or anything. We deal with Amy at Disney when we need something as at least we can trust what she says to be accurate.
