Did I mess up my AP?

Hey folks, I recently purchased my first DVC discounted AP. I opted for the voucher. But was this a mistake? If I decide to book an extra cash night will I be able to do so with the my voucher code, or do I have to have the AP number itself? Or can CRO verify my voucher purchase over the phone when I try to book an AP discounted room???

I think from now on, I'll just have it mailed to me.

Second question, I believe that I can trade the voucher in for my AP at Guest Relations, can I also get the DDE while I do that?? Or do I go to a different place to handle that?
 
You can not have an AP mailed to you, you options to acquire an AP are

1) Have a voucher nmailer to you
2) Have will call pick-up at Guest Services
3) Purchase an AP in person at Guest Services

For both the voucher and will call, you still need to get the pass at guest services.

I don't know how intergrated their computer system is at the moment. The used to allow you to book the AP rate and show your AP when you check-in (which gave you time to get your pass, then check-in.)

Can you purchase an AP at the Disney Store?

Also, is it valid for 365 days from the date of purchase or from the date of first usage?

You can only purchase the DVC discounted AP from Members Services or in person at WDW. If you buy from MS they will send you a voucher that you will have to exchange at WDW and your year will begin then.
