Did I make the right choice? Switched from WL to Poly (and a $ dilemma)

We just switched out sept 29 - oct 2 stay at the WL WV to the Poly GV. It's $200 more, but we got the AP rate of $234 a night (plus tax).
Please hype me up! I was going to change our Oct 6-8 stay from the Contemp to the WL stnd to save money since I haven't seen a code yet (and I'd love to stay at the WL) but Disney isn't showing any rooms for the WL. Expedia is though for a WV, but with their service fee it comes to to the same as the Contemp. Should I just stay at the Contemp and feel the wrath of my husband (since I now add $200 total to the trip when I should have kept it about the same if I was able to switch to the WL for the latter stay)?
Is there ANY hope of getting a WL room for these dates?

I'm feeling bad, any good news about the Poly (or getting a WL stnd room) would be great.

No offense, but I'm having trouble keeping up with your plan changes.

I'd just go with Poly. Poly and WL are my two favorite Disney resorts. Poly for all the transportation options, when you factor in TTC being next door and WL for its incredible theming and relaxed environment. But I'd just stick with Poly to make sure nothing falls through the cracks, so to speak, at this point.

I'm not surprised you couldn't follow that rambling I wrote! I guess you could tell I was a little frazzled, huh? LOL!

We were trying to keep things at around the same cost... which we would have if I was able to get the WL for our 2 days stay, but it's all booked up. So now we have the Poly for 3 days (switched from the WL), then the Contemp for 2. In a perfect world I'd be able to get the WL for that 2 day stay and save the $$.
I'm now regretting switching from the WL to the Poly for 3 days because of the price difference...is it worth an extra $200 to be at the poly?

Sorry it's still scattered! So is my brain at the moment...I have a disney-fried brain!!

I've never stayed at WL, so I can't judge the difference in the value, but I can't stress how much my family and I LOVE the Poly. It is the very most convenient hotel on the poperty, and the view from the pool and the beach is fantastic!

You can't go wrong at the Poly! WL is beautiful, too, so you can't really go wrong, but if you decide to stick with the Poly, you won't regret it.

I've stayed at the WL and poly. Poly is awesome. The music coming out of the 'trees' it seems. The fire torches outside. The monarail....The WL is awesome too! Geyser, awesome pool, super cool lobby, rustic feel, the smells .. ahhhhh.... We were going to stay at the Poly for our honeymoon, but it would have literally been $5000 MORE because we wanted a suite. So pricewise, the WL worked out and I absolutely LOVE it.
I've also stayed at the contemporary and DID NOT at all like it!!!! I'm a 'theme' person and I didn't like whatever theme it was. The ONLY good thing was it was connected to the monarail. BUt I can live without that! Plus there's a really nice boat ride to the MK from the WL. 33 more days til the WL.. woohoooooooo
