Did I just get the 40% off a Deluxe Deal???

I called to switch from AKL to POR, due to construction (late May vacation) and the agent told me I could move to Yacht Club for those nights for about the same price as POR!!!! I switched and now I am getting credited over $900!!! He said these offers come up like 1 in 200 searches.

I feel so lucky as I could never afford the YC otherwise!! Yay!

Why did this happen?

You can't really ASK for an upsell.. it's randomly selected by the computer and then the CM is instructed to OFFER it.

He was "asking" to add another night to his 'upsold' reservation. THAT you can do.

Congratulations on getting your extra night (I saw your other post!) and the rate too!

We had this offered to us a couple of years ago, we were booking POFQ and were asked if we wanted AKL for the same rate, we took it then changed to Dolphin Club Level Jr. Suite later, it worked better for is. It does happen so congratulations!
