Going over my budget for my trip, we are driving from Ontario but live 15 mins from the boarder.I am going with Sister so she will pay for half the gas and hotel(The half of my share is posted). I am going with 6,8,9 year olds and myself. Did I miss anything?

$200-300 gas
$200 tips for TS at disney
$35 for mouse keeping
$100 for hotels there and back(3 hotels and a day of camping) or $40 just camping
$200-300 for extra meals
$100 for breakfast snacks and drinks
$600 for disney extra's( though we may not need all of it as the kids have thier own money for extras)
$200 for the cabbage patch hospital we are visiting along the way home:)

$100-200 for the cabbage patch hospital
$500 for extra's at disney

Not sure what "extras" includes. What about laundry, refillable mugs if you want those (staying on propert?), pictures you buy there and for getting developed back home. It looks like you did pretty good and your "extras" amount has cushion.

Have a great time!

The one thing I could think of is just general tips for bell people. Although if you don't plan to leave your luggages then you won't need it.

Where is this cabbage patch hospital? Sounds neat.

Your budget looks good to me... very familiar to my own actually :)

Cleveland, GA to be more specific just North of Atlanta and South of Helen. It is more about the Original Little People though that were popular when I was a child in the early 80's, the ones with the cloth face and body.

I would suggest from personal experience more than $200 for the Cabbage Patch hospital unless each child has their own money budgeted for it. For a Cabbage Patch collector there is nothing like it.

Yup, and from experience a CPK can cost upwards of $275 each and up. I'm not sure if they even have the ones wth the plastic heads, it has been several yeasr since we have been there. I know they are in a new much lareger location.

I see a roadtrip in my near future to check it out!

So your total budget for hotels is $200, if you are paying half ($100)? For three nights that seems kind of low, but maybe hotels are just pricey wherever I've looked.

I can still remember my first CPK! My family was far too poor to purchase one so my uncle gave me one since all his girls had one.

Not sure what route you are taking but there are a bit of tolls up north (New york to Baltimore) and I think I read some in FL. When I drive from NC to Mass I think it runs me about $70-$80 rt.

also I think your gas budget might be kind of low. I was figureing $200 for us and we are coming from NC and were going to stay on property (not sure if you are on or off). It is a 10 hour drive for us. I would think you would be close to 30 (yes?). So you will be pretty close to the $600 (I guess you said 200-300 which is half) but if you are planning on driving around FL all week this could add up. Plus we are driving with a small car (great gas mileage) not sure what you are going with.

I think your gas and Hotels for on the way is very low! hard to get a decent hotel for under $75 anymore especially for 5, and Gas did you figure $4 a gallon? that seems very low since I filled up yesterday and I only have a sedan not an SUV or anything and it was $40. and change.

I think your tipping budget is very generous but getting there budget is low.

Not sure if you tried this, but AAA has a gas usage calculator.

http://www.fuelcostcalculator.aaa.com/

We used it to estimate our gas costs a few years ago and it was very helpful. I looked and it only has US states available so I punched in Buffalo, NY ( the closest one I could find to you) and used my car make and year. Here is what it gave me...

Start City: NY, Buffalo
End City: FL, Orlando

One-Way Trip: 1199 Miles
70.53 Gallons Used
$263.29 Fuel Cost

Round-Trip: 2398 Miles
141.06 Gallons Used
$526.58 Fuel Cost

Hope this helps :)

How many days will you be there, so we can have a better idea about how much you need?

we went to the cpk hospital last yeear and it weas awesome. but I spent $400 or more there. It was WELL worth it just to watch baby cabbages being born. Have fun@!

I think you'll get a better response stating what your plan is.... How long is your trip? Are you on a dining plan and if so, which one? If not, are you eating 3 meals a day in the park, or eating off-site or in the hotel room?

Although I don't know the specifics of your trip, this is where I think you maybe budgeted to low: $200-300 for extra meals
$100 for breakfast snacks and drinks

It sounds like you'll be driving 2 days there and 2 days home, so you need money for those meals, snacks and drinks, which will probably eat up $200. Plus, if this is your budget for extra snacks, drinks and meals in the park, I think it's too low. In the summer, you're going to want lots of cold drinks, which add up fairly quickly.

We are starting out trip sat Aug 13, driving 2 days as I hate night driving and also want to see a few places, we are staying at disney's pop 7 nights, on ddp but plan to taking snacks and drinks with us,though I really want a refillable mug for me, not so much for the kids as they don't really have any heathy options but I love ice tea. I only have one girl and she is almost 6 so I figured I could get her a cheap doll that the advertise on the babyland site( ones made just for them with hard heads ar $50-69, other hard to find ones are about $35) and me a preemie but a older girl would be nice. I already have a stuffed boy that was given to me my my bbf.I'll up the budget to $400 just in case. I used another gas cal, so I think I'll trust AAA's and budget $400. The $200 was was mainly food for getting there and back but I think I'll add an extra $200. The motels I have seen online were all roughly $50(so 3 day hotel&150-180 + 1 camp day$20), I have looked at the opinions online first.Although nothing has been booked yet so I'll incease that by $100 though if it gets too costly we will camp out.
So here's a revised one:
$4-500 gas
$200 tips for TS at disney
$35 for mouse keeping
$200 for hotels there and back(3 hotels and a day of camping) or $40 just camping
$300-400 for extra meals
$100 for breakfast snacks and drinks
$600 for disney extra's( though we may not need all of it as the kids have thier own money for extras)
$400 for the cabbage patch hospital we are visiting along the way home
$500 for extra's at disney(just in case)
=3000ish which isn't bad because my flight alone was going to be more then half of that. I get to see place driving down I have never seen before. I am so excited! Today we decided instead of Jacksonville on the sunday we will be going to Savannah GA, I can't wait!
