I'm going down the line ruling out things that could possibly be wrong with my car, it only starts sometimes but I have noticed after a good charge up on the battery , there's no problem.
Yesterday morning I plugged in the battery charger, I only had 25% of charge in the battery so we charged it up, it ran fine the rest of the day. Today I go out to start it, the first time it didn't turn over , the second time it did. I shut it off, plugged in the charger and back to 25% charge, this time I let the car run for 1/2 hour and then plugged in the charger again, it reads 100% so I know now it's not the alternator. Next two possibilities are, I have a short someplace and it's draining the battery, or the battery ( 2.5 yrs old ) is not holding the charge. Do you think it's possible for a 2.5 yr old battery to go bad? Batteries usually lasted me longer than that.
DH is replacing the spark plugs and doing some maintenance this weekend, but I do some things to my car that I know how to. I hope it's not a short, those are not easy to detect sometimes.
