Did Disboards help fuel your Disney addiction?

I'll admit...I loved disney before I joined the Disboards. I joined shortly before a grownups only trip with DH. Got so much great advice. Loved giving advice! Then came the need.........

The overwhelming need to get that ticker for my next trip going. Seeing everyone talking about upcomming trips. Reading reports. Seeing pictures. I'm going to admit it helped fuel this addiction. If I walked away from the Dis would the allure be so strong? Would I feel the need to go as much?

Let's just say I'm not gonna find out. :)

Did the Disboards feed your disney fire?pixiedust:

Yes Maam. I think if it weren't for forums and boards to live off the excitement, I could probably last longer between trips!

I am in the horrible place where I have the trip booked but I have another month to book ADR's etc. I can't even really plan my ADR's because park hours aren't out yet for June. At least I have the boards to give me a Disney fix while I wait.

I would say no for me. I start to get "the disney itch" about 6 months after a trip and that happened even before I knew about the Dis. Although I didn't go once a year before the Dis so maybe you're right!!!

:)

This site is probably part of the reason we go every year, lol. Thanks guys! :thumbsup2

Yes, I joined a little while before our first trip, in which we stayed offsite, had 3 park days, and went to only MK and Epcot. It was a great trip, but meanwhile, because of the Disboards, I told DH I thought we could go longer and stay onsite for about the same money. We went a year and a half later and successfully tested that theory.

Had a few trips after that too ;)

Frequent Disboarding definitely keeps Disney top of mind.

Absolutely. In fact, it's why I joined in the first place! I was so excited to start my PTR, and then my TR once my vacation was over. Writing both of them really helped me get excited and then relive the magic once I got home.

Absolutely!!

I would have enjoyed the first trip a lot less if I didn't have all the knowledge I've learned at the DIS.

Moreover, it keeps me chomping at the bit to visit the World. Far more than if I didn't come to the DIS almost daily.

A Disney vacation would have been wonderful, but something I could have walked away from having never bothered to return, but, the DIS renews my desire to visit.
