Part of the fun of being a parent is lieing through your teeth about these things. Isn't is great fun scheming up imaginative ways to enhance your children's holidays? I can't wait for grandchildren to do it all over again.

One of my most touching memories is of how much work and dedication my parents put into making sure that we believed in the jolly old elf... it actually puts a tear in my eye!

No care for one second that THEY paid for the gifts, kids don't care who put up the money anyway!

I saw a show on Christmas traditions on HGTV this weekend and they said something that made me smile...

Santa isn't about gifts, he's about LOVE. He's magical, like DisneyWorld. Children have so much of reality shoved at them everyday, Christmas is a time for magic and love.

My son is 9 and he STILL believes, and I am soooo glad he does.

My mom dressed up like Santa one year for SIL's neices and nephews. She is only 5'2" and 125-130. They couldn't get anyone else to do it. They caught on immediately.
