Hi

Bruce and I watched this last night and we were shocked at how many ICTS employees were about security and how lazy they were. I was so shocked. People sleeping on duty, not checking all luggage properly through the Xray machines, not searching people thoroughly etc. Thank god not everyone was like that. I was so shocked. It was mainly for Continental Airlines and Air India that were mentioned last night for the airplane security.

Did anyone else see this?

:scared1:

I've Sky+ it ~ Probably watch it at the weekend.

I didn't see it but my friend works for Continental so I know she was going ot watch it. Sounds terrible though.

It was disgusting. That company have their contacts terminated. It our lives these people are playing with and are obviously not vetting their staff. It is scary to think it is going on.

Maybe we should do as the USA do and have government run security in our airports.

Worked for the Government for 13 years, they would manage to make a complete hash of it, always do.

It was really scary, they should of all been sacked but I doubt they were. :scared1:

The security company involved lost the contract to baggage screening at BHX. The company which was awarded the new contract ended up employing most of the workers whose negligence caused the previous company to lose the original contract. Still, privatisation, thanks Maggie:rolleyes: .

I watched it and it was awful! We are flying with Continental in December from BHX too. I couldn't believe that they were allowing these things to go on. The drugs thing was horrendous too! I think we should kick out the private firms and try the US stance on things, look at it this way - it can't be any worse than having junkies checking that there are no bombs on the planes can it! :confused3

I watched this, and was gobsmacked. I wasn't expecting to be as I had a read a report on the programme in one of the Sunday papers, but that was only half of it, and to see the images first hand was absolutely shocking. I cannot believe the attitude of the workers, knowing that they are literally playing with the lives of millions of people every year. They clearly had no regard for human life, and what was most sickening was the fact most of their behaviour was purely down to laziness. Unforgiveable.

I don't know if the answer is to bring all airport security within the control of government run departments, but at least private companies won't be making vast amounts of profit from doing an appalling job. The whole system needs to be thoroughly reviewed as a matter of urgency.

Yes it was very scary. With security like that it's a wonder that we still get into the USA!! Watch out for tighter security when we get there.
