Wow, I am really not liking Foreman right now. I guess I am too much like Cameron because I thought he was out of line. Maybe they are"just" colleagues, and maybe you should be completely out for #1 like that in the workplace, but I do think this kind of thing will come back to bite you eventually.
Too bad, because I really liked his character up til tonight. I guess I like him going after the ones who don't care as much, like House.

I agree....even if they are just co-workers, that is a rude thing to say. I bet they will come up with some reason he is having personality problems, lol!

Ahhhh, very clever. You may be right! :teeth:

I LOVE this show- I have a "best House line" every show. This weeks is: Three doctors (Cameron, Chase and Foreman) walk into the room and say "we have rectal bleeding" and House says "What? All of you???" :lmao:

Ok, I thought Foreman was being a complete jerk and taking one too many cues from House. I thought they were friends and worked together and actually cared about eachother. I did NOT expect him to treat Cameron like that.

On a side note: I went to Disney with the next Dr.House. He is going to medical school in the next year or two to be a surgeon and his attitude is exactly like House's. It was an interesting vacation to say the least.

I LOVED that line about the bleeding! hahaha...DH and i laughed for awhile!

I too was liking Foreman until tonite..i hope they do something to redeem his character :)

I love this show too!

Here's my two cents and the devil's advocate argument: while I don't condone what Foreman did, Cameron seemed to be relishing the victim role. She continously harped to everybody what an awful thing Foreman did to her. Then she apologized to Foreman but it was in a manner that worked better than wearing a sign saying "Kick me again". She needs to learn that she's not going to be able to change Foreman; she CAN change her behavior.

Cameron is a "Victim" without a doubt but after Foreman's little speech at the end, I said a dirty word about him. :furious:

Love the show! Never did like Foreman, especially after how he acted so high and mighty when Cutty put him in charge after House was a bad boy - well, House is always bad but I digress.

But I especially didn't like him this week.. he kept getting in between Hugh and the camera. :lovestruc

I've never seen the show before, but it was on in the background last night. I missed what happened at the end. What did it turn out was wrong with the girl, and was the girlfriend involved somehow? I did catch that she WANTED the sick girl to be indebted to her for the liver so that she would stay with her, but was she also somehow responsible for making her ill?

I definitely thought Foreman was a total jerk last night. Cameron offered him the olive branch, and he totally blew her off. I mean, you just don't say things like that to people!

I bet by May sweeps, Foreman will have a brain tumor or some other health problem that causes personality changes. That will explain all of this. :rotfl:

No, the girl actually had the plague. She got it from her dog, who they bought from a breeder. The dog was bred in the Southwest U.S. and he had fleas that were somehow infected with the plague.

Turns out she had the plague caused by fleas on the dog the girlfriend gave her. The girlfriend wasn't really responsible though. She didn't do it knowingly.

I don't understand what the big deal is about giving a liver to someone about to break up with you. I've had some bitter break ups but that doesn't mean I'd want that person to die! In the end, I can't think of anyone I know personally I wouldn't donate part of my liver to :confused3 if it meant their life.

I understood Cameron's point to be one of informed consent. The donor should have all pertinent details before making her decisions.

I didn't have a problem with Foreman's speech. I don't remember the group even hanging out together after work (except for Cameron's and the blond doctor that once). I have had that type of coworker who thinks because you work together you are friends. What Foreman describes it what happens in real life.

I thought the best part of the show was Cuddy's speech to Cameron about how she should succeed so she can get her revenge on Foreman then.

I love the stories in the clinic. Every week there is one and I find them very amusing.

I have to be the disagreer(is that a word?) I do not have a problem with foreman's attitude. I would much rather work with someone who is upfront and real than someone who want's to be your friend, yeah right. Cameron would drive me crazy. They are there on a fellowship to learn not to make friends. He is right 10 yrs from now they will have gone there seperate ways why pretend you are going to be bestest buddies forever. You can be pleasant and have fun even socialize you don't have to be close or pretend to be.
While what he did would be not nice in elementary school it's the grownup world and that is how things are done. She had months to act and didn't why should he pass it up-publish or die as the saying goes. Do you think Dan Rather would have passed on a story because his friend Peter Jenkins knew about it first? It is a cut throat world in the big time if she doesn't want to compete at that level she should go back to private practice or go to a smaller hospital environment she is a very good DR and would have NO problem finding a position. Even Cutty or is it Cuddy told her as much.

This is one of my favorite shows. I was a little surprised at Foremans response too, but thab again, nothing much surprises me on this show!

I don't watch much TV, but I really do enjoy this show a lot. However I was not one bit surprised by his responce. I guess I also see a bigger plot developing in the future.

Cameron is just as upfront and real as Foreman, just as genuine, she just has different values. Her view is just as real a situation in the workplace as Foreman's outlook is, albeit more rare. Foreman is willing to step on people and alienate them to get to the top. Cameron is not. That does not make Foreman right, nor does it make Cameron wrong. However, it makes me like Foreman less while watching on TV. :teeth: Even if he is hot and can do that thing with his eyebrow. But I digress.

Yes, situations in work can be highly competitive. But as Chase pointed out (or was it Wilson?), there are TONS of cases Foreman could have written up. Writing up this one was not necessary for his success. Good Lord, every episode is a journal article begging to be written! So, he chose to alienate and p.o. a coworker. In the process, he also drew negative attention to himself from Wilson, possibly Cuddy. Was it worth it? Who knows!

I think it was a stupid thing to do, personally, considering the wealth of cases he has to draw from that Cameron was NOT also writing about.

Good Lord, woman! You should be a tv show analyst!

We (DH watches it too!!) were surprised by his reaction, too. At the very least, she was trying to relieve tension and he just added to it. I wonder where they are going with this story line.

Oh, and I love HOUSE! Anyone think he's just a tiny bit sexy? Never thought I'd jones over a pillhead... :teeth:

Hee hee! Hey, Ally. I really like Cameron and identify with her the most, although I could have KICKED HER when she went to talk with him at the end. I kept saying NO!!! but she did not listen.
House is more than a tiny bit sexy. Of course, I could never work for a person like that, but I like him on the show. All the men are attractive. This show is good on SO MANY LEVELS. :thumbsup2
And I know I owe you some emails! Yes, I like the theme song, too!!
