Did anyone see Tom Hanks do the Toddlers and Tiaras skit on Jimmy Kimmel?

Oh, that was one of the funniest parts! I'm thinking of getting one to use on my daughters! (j/k...maybe)

Did anyone notice Jimmy Kimmel in the audience with his "daughter" at the pageant?

I wonder how many people didn't get the "Bosom Baby" reference? Unfortunately, I'm old enough. :headache:

I caught it.

Side note--and feel free to laugh---was this really his daughter? Her acting was very very good.

That was really funny..and it was made so funny by the fact that it was so spot on to the real show.

I wondered the same thing and meant to look online to see if she was. She was excellent. I loved when they showed her onstage doing her routine and she messed up and looked at the judges with a blank look on her face. That and Tom's reaction to it is something I've seen a million times on Toddlers and Tiaras. Whoever wrote that skit has to be a fan of the show!

One of the best lines:
Ron Howard: Houston, Tom has a problem. (It took me a minute to realize it was an Apollo 13 reference.) I've watched it 4 times and it seems like I find something new in every viewing! I made my girls watch it and DH when he got home from work. They didn't laugh as much as I did..DH hasn't seen the real show, so I understand that. But the girls have and I figured they would have thought it funnier.

"I know how it feels to be a kid because I played one in "Big" :lmao:

I will have to watch it again, I wonder if "Wilson" was brought up. LOL

Bosom Buddies, Big, Turner and Hooch and Forrest Gump were all referenced. :lmao:

:rotfl2: I just rewatched it looking for Wilson, too. I kept thinking he'd be sitting in the audience. :rotfl: But I couldn't find him.

I love the spray bottle when she tries to take a cookie and in the car. And "sexy hands, sexy feet. Sexy feet!! SEXY FEET!!!"

Hysterical! :lmao:

I like when he is driving in the van explaining that it is a "glitz" pageant and that everything has to be princess perfect, and they show Sophie in the back seat picking her nose! :lmao:

Thanks for the link! I was trying to explain it to DH yesterday, but now I can show him. And kudos to Tom Hanks and Ron Howard for playing along. Such down to earth "Academy Award Winners".....so many others would never do something like this!

I know, right? You can just tell that they are good guys. I love that with all their money and power, they are happy to do something to make people laugh and for free.

Days late, but finally watched it. That was great!!!

Thinking of getting your son involved in teen boy pageants yet, Wall-E1? They could have an eating competition (most disgusting food as well as... well... the most food!); messiest room segment; unintelligible conversations; sleeping through the alarm competition.... oh the possibilities are endless!

I liked it so much I posted it on my Facebook wall, LOL!

I filled my kids in on the Tom Hanks movie/TV references in the video. So hilarious and very well done -- he nailed the whole episodes of Toddler and Tiaras (and Little Miss Perfect). :)

"You look just like a Bratz doll!" :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

When they showed him frantically working at the sewing machine on that glitz outfit, I nearly spewed Diet Coke. :rotfl2: Was he channeling Ava's dad or what? :lmao: Then when the DD said he really wanted to be a pageant queen but couldn't, I was dead certain he'd studied Ava's dad. :worship:

What a riot! :rotfl2:

The only things they left out were spray tans & flippers (fake teeth).

"Make Daddy love you. Earn it!"

I think the most accurate was Tom dancing while she was on stage. Is there a "padge" mom who doesn't do this???? And when the song got to the "lock the cellar door" part and they show Tom pretending to lock a door.

:happytv:

Is there a Toddlers and Tiaras thread? I'd love to talk about the Mother-Daughter pagent with the mom who bought the $3000 dress that was made for her by a Project Runway contestant. Her DH came home from Iraq in the episode. That woman was soo fake. When her and her daughter were practicing their dance at home and the girl accidentally kicked her mom's freshly Botoxed lips, I thought I was going to die from laughter. I think it was the Pangonas family.
