If so why? I have never rode this ride but I hear that it is awesome from most of the posts I read on here... Now I would like to hear the other side...

It is fine. I dislike the editing in the film itself. A bunch of jump cuts instead of some hidden blending was the easy way out. How about a little artistry?

I agree that the film isn't the best, but it is a ride that EVERYONE in my family of 6 likes. I get a bit motion sick from it (don't do well on simulators). I just close my eyes here and there.

To the PP, it is at EPCOT (there's one in Disneyland as well) in the Land Pavilion. Get FP early, they go fast!

I like it! I mean its not my fave but I have to do it atleast twice (kids) it scared me the first time just because Im scared of heights but once I relaxed leaned back and concentrated on the screen I had a good time! I just try to make sure I am not in the first two rows! That would be high up!

It's not my favorite. I found it kind of a short ride. However, I am a MS kind of gal so Soarin is a bit tame for me.

I thought it was just ok, it doesn't do anything special for me. My DD6 doesn't like it. We skipped it last time while the grandparents rode it - they thought it was fantastic. I agree that the film cuts are jumpy, and the film is not too exciting. It was interesting to ride it once, but for us, not a must-do. And I think the name is kind of stupid.

It is my favorite ride. I am a Soarin' snob and if others don't like it, I get on quicker. :yay:

It's my kind of ride. Not scary, not jarring, not loud, not boring. It's beautiful and family friendly. This is the only ride I'll wait in line for at EPCOT :thumbsup2

Im a thrill ride junkie...yet I LOVE Soarin'....don't know exactly what it is, I just do.

Overall, I think it is a great attraction. One thing I would like to see them add is a bit of a water spritz, for when soaring over those crashing waves on the Pacific coast. Like the various theater shows in the different parks. It would make it even more realistic, plus a cooling feeling. And maybe one more scent along the way.

Soarin' is my favorite ride in Epcot, but it was more fun doing it in California a couple of years ago. I read that they are making a Florida movie for it. I never had a problem with flowing from scene to scene.

they built up soarin WAY too much, i was disapointed when i actually got on. It is an ok ride nothing special, in my famalies opinion. If they would of made the landscape of soarin florida it would have made it better:)

My wife kept her eyes closed throughout the whole thing. She just cannot stand the sense of flying free like that. The good part of it, though, was that she discovered that there are "smell-o-vision" segments, not only for the orange groves, but for other parts of the film as well, such as when flying over the oceans (she smelled "surf").

Soarin' junkie here....Our first night we're headed to Epcot and Soarin. I don't care about doing anything else our first day.

Let me put it this way...........I wouldn't wait in line for it for more than 5 minutes again, but would ride it again just to do everything at WDW. I was disappointed with the theming of the queue area, the feet dangling above me were a little distracting, and I thought that they moved too quickly between scenes. While I loved the orange smell, I noticed that it lingered into a couple of the other scenes that didn't quite go with that smell.

this is one ride where i believe it really matters where you sit.

Anywhere in the middle section is fine... on the edges is not good as you do not get the full effect of the flying.. and seeing the edges of the screen is quite distracting!
I personally like the top or middle row but am happy in the bottom row too so long as we are in the middle.

I would rather not ride at all if we have to sit at the edges..

My mother hated it. She was terrified the whole time. She said she felt as though she was going to fall.

I love it but DW wife was a little disappointed .

When I rode Soarin' for the first time last Oct., I didn't know what it was. We did get the top/first row, and I can see where this is the best. Well, I thought it was great, even though I had to close my eyes a few times, as the height and movement were so real feeling, that I got a bit queasy. I felt that it was worth the wait in line, and would recommend that everyone try it :goodvibes We had my 4 year old (his birthday :) ) grandson with, and I still am not sure how he felt about it. He was just very quiet. :bitelip: We'll see if he wants to go on it again next month, or not. :goodvibes
