The fireworks were spectacular, but I have a major gripe with the City of Altamonte Springs for staffing such a small police force to patrol the area. The place was packed, I'm guessing over 100,000 and there were not nearly enough police officers watching over.
Then when the fireworks ended, they did the most horrendous job directing traffic I could ever imagine, I mean it was almost non-existent. After nearly an hour of trying to exit the mall parking lot when we finally thought we saw a cop car, it was actually one of those "community support" officers. Where was the PD????
