Did anyone go to the Ocean for a day

My 16-year-old wants to spend the day at a beach. Any recommendations on the closest and best ocean beach?

We did a day at Daytona. Take I-4 east all the way. We went during Bike Week. Kids wanted to walk on the beach and collect shells. It was soooo cold and windy that day so their feet were only in the water for a little bit.

From WDW to good ocean beach? What would you recommend?

It depends on the time of year.

If you go to Daytona Beach during certain parts of the year, you're gonna get swamped with special events. What time were you looking at?
