Did anyone else hear about a fire at Ohana's on Sunday ?

While I was on the phone with CRO checking on my travel documents and she was adding requests etc we were chatting.

She asked my favorite restaurant and I told her we really enjoyed Ohana's when we were there in Sept.

She said they just had a fire there on Sunday ! That she only found out about it when they called Dining (she also works in the dining centre) to have them find places for everyone with ADR's for Ohana's to be able to eat somewhere else that night.

She didn't know anything else.

So does anyone else know anything ? Was there a fire ? Are they still open ?

I don't know anything official but I would guess that, since they were only moving ADR's for one night, there was a fire of some sort in the kitchen that triggered the fire suppression system. When that happens the powder gets EVERYWHERE! It takes several hours to remove everything and get the kitchen cleaned and everything washed.

We just got back from WDW yesterday. Sunday morning on our way to breakfast elsewhere, there were several fire trucks going in the direction of the resorts by MK. I don't know where they were going or what they were doing but something was going on.

Oh gosh- we ate there on Thursday... but we left on Saturday, so I am no help, just subscribing
