Did Anyone Catch Tonight's Episode of "The West Wing"?

I'm wondering if anyone out there happened to watch The West Wing tonight. I'm a devoted WW watcher but my Yankees were on ESPN tonight so I was able to watch them down here in SC.
(Doesn't happen a lot ) I was flipping back and forth to try to watch both. Anyway, I only saw part of the ending. Was it truly a biological attack on the White House or was it just a test?
I thought Ron Butterfield said it was a test and POTUS, Charlie and Debbie were guinea pigs, but then from his conversation with the President, it seemed like it was real. If so, did Charlie and Debbie know this?

Can anyone out there help?

I agree seemed a little confusing, but I think they told they that it was a test, but it really wasn't...going back to the line "Charlie will never forgive himself...and the president looks away." If it wasn't real, then why would Butterfield be meeting with the president later

Perhaps we'll get the definative answer later in the season.
