I saw on the wishbook that it is cheaper to have a reception before 2. Is this because you don;t get as much food or because it's an earlier time and not popular?
Did anybody do this and what was your menu like?
We got married 07/06 at the Wp at 10 am then had our reception at 11 am at the Gf. I think it is a less expensive price because it is earlier then the average reception, and not so popular. We had a buffet style lunch/dinner and there was so much food it was unbelievable! If any of the food looked like it was touched some one would come out and refill it right away. I enjoyed having a early reception because it gave us time to check into our honeymoon suite and go to the parks if we wanted too. Plus it allowed our friends and family ,who were so awesome enough to make that journey with us, the rest of the evening to get back at their vacation! I also picked the early ceremony and reception because like I said we got married in July and the weather can change like the wind. On that day it actually did! By the time we got checked in to our suite it was down pooring and even the monorail got hit with lightning! I felt so bad for the 6 o'clock bride! When I called my planner the next day to thank her she said they had to get every umbrella they owned to get her out of the pavilion! So for me the early ceremony and reception worked out awesome! Happy planning!
