Yup, Crazed...that would be me! Hi & Welcome to my official, really super early Pre-Trip report.
We are going to Disney in June 2009!
I know...it's more than SIX months away...actually according to TGM, it's exactly 296 days away. If the trip wasn't a secret from my DD, I would make one of those paper chains we used to make as kids and hang it around the house.
I know somewhere in my brain that it really is too early to be thinking so much about this trip. But I can't help myself, so I am giving in to the overwhelming temptation that has been gripping me to start this report! Even if I really have nothing to talk about yet.

Really it's because as if I am not crazy enough, it would be even more crazy to talk to myself and outside of calling my sister, who I think is sick of hearing about Disney (I know, the horror!!
), I have no one to share with. (I know, cue
)
So we have 296 days to go and this is what I know:
There are 7 of us going this trip. I have never ever gone with that many people. The most I have ever gone with is 3. I think it's going to be interesting.
Our Cast of Characters
(and trust me, they're characters all right!)
Jes (me!!): 32 y/o BIG kid. I love all things Disney! The planner of the group. I am a Tour Guide Mike believer, I have used him my past three trips.
Nichole - My 15 y/o daughter, who will be 16 in March and old enough for a permit!
Seriously, if you live anywhere on the East Coast, stay off the roads! The closest she has ever been to driving a car is on Test Track! Like I said before, she doesn't know about this trip. Actually, she might have figured it out, but if she has, she hasn't let on.
Melanie - My 36 y/o sister. She likes Disney well enough but she isn't a crazie, if you know what I mean. She is excited but I think more so because we have never gone together. Of course, I have a feeling she may want to kill me before we even make it on the trip.
She wanted to keep this trip a surprise for her kids, therefore I didn't tell Nichole either.
Steve - My BIL. I can't tell you his age because seriously, I don't even know. I know he is older than me, which is all that matters!!
He is a HUGE Disney fanatic. He has been going to Disney since he was a little tot, back in the Stone Age, and knows Disney inside and out. But, he isn't a planner! He is pretty laid back and so far, seems ok letting me plan away. I think he is mostly happy that he has me to chat up about Disney because my sister can only take so much!
Allison - My 16 y/o niece. She is 6 months older than Nichole. They are fairly close so I am excited that they will get to spend this time together, especially since they don't get to see each often (we live about 10 hours apart).
Savannah - My 12 y/o niece.
Mikayla - My 9 y/o niece.
I am really looking forward to spending time with Savannah and Mikayla. Savannah was only 2 when I moved away and Mikayla was born after I was gone and I don't get to see them all too often. It will be fun to have kids to tour Disney with again...at least until they start annoying the crap out of me!
So that is all of us. Tired of reading yet?
I am a bit nervous touring with more people. I am used to being with just my husband or my daughter or some combo of them two and used to being the Disney boss!
But I also think it's going to be a whole lot of fun too!
I will try to post some pictures in the next few days of all these crazy characters.
Til next time....
Your Pal,
Jes
