Diapers?

I apologize if this info is available somewhere else. We are going to DL next month and my youngest is in diapers. We will be there weds thru Sunday. I would like to keep it to carryons only if we can, or just checking one bag. To save space I was thinking of shipping diapers and wipes ahead to PPH. Is there a store there that would deliver? I know in wdw people use garden grocer, is there something similar at DL? Or would it be cheaper and easier to just suck it up and pack the stuff ($20 baggage fee)?

I dont know of any store that delivers and if you did find one it would probably be a wash. I would recommend sending them to the hotel or even ordering from amazon.com and have them shipped there, sometimes ou can get free or pretty cheap shipping. I guess you just need to figure out the cheapest option. Good luck and have a great trip!

I'm in the same situation for a trip in March with two in diapers. I've read that Von's delivers and it's free if it's your first delivery with a $50 order. I think I might go that route and buy diapers and some snacks to keep in the room. We're trying to pack light, or as light as we can with little ones!

I think I will go through diapers.com, now that you mention it. It's free shipping, and I could also get some snacks and drinks. How do I do that though? Just address it to myself, c/o PPH front desk, and their address? Will they know to hold it for me, or do I need to call and let them know? Sorry to be so dumb, but I've never tried to do such a thing before.

Vons.com delivers (they are the local Safeway, which you may have in your area), and usually the 1st delivery is free with $50 spending... and I would think it could be quite easy to spend $50 in diapers, wipes, snacks etc for you guys! We do this every trip, and order things like the pre-sliced apples and bread and pb & j to make lunches & snacks easier.

You could also try babies travel lite. We have used them before for our Disney cruise.

We used Amazon.com in September when we stayed 13 days in Orlando with two babies in diapers. Had an entire case shipped to our hotel.

All you need to do is change who it's being shipped to when you order and the diapers will go to the hotel.

Von's looks like a good option. There are several options for delivery windows. We will probably want to go to the park when we get there, and not hang around waiting for groceries, so I was thinking of a two hour window just prior to when we should get there. Will bell services hold the groceries?

Bell services has held the groceries for us, but I think it is discouraged. You should try and be there during your window, but we always tell bell service before we leave, and they have been very good if we are late returning and hold our stuff.

Do you typically come home with souvenirs or other extra stuff? I find that packing diapers does take up some space, but then I have that space to bring other stuff home. Also, in my experience the diaper bag hasn't counted as my one carry-on.

Oh, I really like that thought that diapers take up space in the bag, but then empty out to allow souvenirs to fit in your bags.. We'll have one in diapers and one in nighttime Pull-Ups, so it's definitely an issue for us, too.
