Anyone know if there is a way to get a round about carb count on items at US/IOA. cauldron cakes, beer butter or anything at all? I have a 5 yr old diabetic and carbs matter
Thank you so, so much for the butterbeer information! My 9 year old son is a type 1 diabetic and I made a complete guess back in April as to the carb count. My guess wasn't the best as his blood sugar was sky-high when we checked an hour later. Thank you again!
I don't know if you have plans to ride Forbidden Journey (where the wait time could be considerably LONG), but there is a water fountain when you get to the Greenhouse portion of the line. Also, when you first get on the line, there is a cart where beverages (and I can't remember what else) are sold.
I was in a slight panic when I first learned that we couldn't bring any bags onto Forbidden Journey. What to do with all of the diabetes supplies? Cargo-style shorts with deep, wide pockets seemed to be the answer. My husband carried my son's blood sugar meter in one of his pockets and my son had a juice box and a Baggie of crackers in his pockets.
