Dh's Granddaddy needs prayers please.

My Dh's Grandfather was diagnosed with cancer LAST week. He is not going to make it, it is in his pancreas, liver and lungs. He is on morphine, and two pain patches at a time. No eating or drinking since last night and he is in tons of pain.
I wish he would just be pain free, this is so hard on the family and him. I cant believe it got to this point with out someone catching it.

Such an awful thing to experience with a loved one.....I'm sorry that you're going through this.
Will say some prayers of comfort for your family and for physical comfort for your DH's grandfather.....may his doctors allow him all the pain meds he needs.

I am so sorry.
This happened to my DH grandfather.He was on medications they assume masked the symptoms. His cancer was very far advanced once the diagnosis was made and he went down hill very quickly.
I hope they are able to control his pain.

Just talked to my MIL, Grandfather is prob not going to make it much longer. She is a mess as is my DH, Im so sad for both of them. Dh was supposed to work tommorow, but ive called his boss and gotten him off of work and we will jump in the car and drive up in the am, wish we could leave now, but its a 3.5 hr drive and DS4 I dont think will handle leaving so late, but maybe we will let him sleep a while and go. I dont even have clothes together for a funeral, and my MIL lives in AL so she didnt come in prepared for this. Guess DS and I will go shopping for everyone. I dont know what to do with DS4 at nursing home with a dying man. It isnt a place for him to be. My plan is Im going to take him around to visit some of the patients that would like to see a little boy while DH is with is G.F. I hope we get there before he passes, but that is kinda selfish I know. G.F. had last rites a few hours ago. God bless him and his kids. Thanks for the prayers!

It sounds like you have a good plan. You might want to throw a few coloring books and some crayons in a tote bag too. Maybe even some Play dough. Might help for when your DS is tired of visiting, but needs something to do.

I am so sorry.

I was only 3 years old when my "Pap Pap" died from pancreatic cancer. I have only one memory of him, but it is a very clear and happy one, not one of him being sick. I hope you will reinforce happy memories for your son so he will remember the good times with your DH's grandfather.
