Just a heads up: there has been a major shuffling around of the bus load zones at DHS.

Pop Century has been moved to the load zone furthest from the entrance.

The bus to DAK now stops out in the Charter Bus Lot, next to the bus to Epcot.

A 2nd load zone has been allocated to PO, so that FQ & RS can have separate queues during park exit.

And, in general, things have just been moved around.

This is actually what we like LEAST about staying at POP. It always seems to be the farthest busstop.

Well, that makes it almost 100% for poor ole Pop. They had a nice close spot at DHS but looks like that's gone. So, Epcot, MK and DHS Pop bus stops are about as far away from the park entrance as you can get....nice. Wish I could remember where it is at AK. I know it's pretty close at DTD.

Still closer than the parking lot.

Surprised it took the Studios this long to make this change. Hard to blame Disney for giving the more expensive resorts the prime bus stops and relegating the values to the outskirts. As someone who has stayed at Pop several times, I can't argue with that logic. If I were spending hundreds of extra dollars per night to stay at a deluxe, I'd want the closer bus-stop locations, too.

I'm pretty sure it's branch C, the second slot, at AK.
I do believe you're right now that I stop to think about it.

True.

Paying deluxe rates gets you a resort that has nicer theming, better pool areas, better table service restaurants, larger rooms, and better access to at least one park and sometimes two (without having to get there via the bus).
At least that's the way it used to be. But it does indeed seem to be changing. So.....now the moderates are going to have to move on down the list as well....and then how does Disney decide which is better...YC/BC or BW?? Or the Polynesian??? They're pretty equal when it comes to rates. AKL and WL will be after them, based on prices. Then again, you have DVC at them so maybe that will move them up to higher than the Polynesian.
I'm not really serious....just rambling.

Yes, I'm going to do it...

I wonder where the Golden Oak shuttle stop will be? :stir:
There will be very special entrance for them....they will be able to drive up, drop off right at the turnstiles and the shuttle bus will just drive off..no nasty walks for those folks..not with what they're paying...;):lmao::rolleyes1

Anyone have a map of where the bus "slots" are at each park? We always stay at Pop and the ONLY thing I hate about it is the drop off locations at the park. It makes for a REAAAAALLLY long walk at the end of each day. We are thinking about upping to a moderate....just looking to see who has the "best" drop off location. I know CBR is next to Pop's at Epcot...but I can't remember any of the other ones at any park.

TIA!
