I've been trying to convince my DH ::MickeyMo to ride the HUlk with me, but he won't, says I'm crazy :crazy2: for riding the Hulk :scared1: . My DH ::MickeyMo is a big guy 5'11 235lbs and goes to the gym 5 days a week. How can I convince him to ride with me. I can ride alone, but it's more fun if he rides with me!!

Tell him you have your divorce lawyer on speed dial...haha JUST KIDDING!!!!

Maybe if you ask him to ride the Hulk, and he does, you can do something with him, that you don't like to do. just a thought.

Will he ride any coasters, maybe you could build him up with a small one. Bribery may work too, or you could just get someone else to go who would shame him into going on. :teeth:

Tell him my 11 year old GS rode it in December as soon as he made the height requirement and can't wait to go back on in August. We live near Hershey Park and their Storm Runner, in his opinion, is better so the Hulk cannot be the worst out there.

Tell him that a 50+ coaster wimp rode it as a Christmas present for his kids. It wasn't as scary as Andrew!

My DH won't ride it either. We've accepted it. I don't think he is afraid of the coaster, but instead afraid of getting sick or having a heart attack on the coaster.

Anyone ever watch the A-team? Maybe you could drug him and drag him on like they did with Mr. T on the airplanes to get him to fly. :cloud9:

I'm not a big fan of trying to get someone to ride something that scares them. If they want to face their fears and ride, that's fine but if they don't want to, then don't try to convince them.

I can ride alone, but it's more fun if he rides with me!!

More fun for you but not for him.

Suppose he wanted to do Fear Factor Live and have scorpions crawl all over his face. He wants to do it but thinks it would be more fun if you did it too. He also wants to drink bug juice made from smashed grub worms and grasshoppers mixed with spider legs but only if you do it too. See my point? Although he might want to and sees it as fun, you might not want to do that.

If he wants to ride but is just a little scared, then encourage him but if he truly doesn't want to, don't try to convince him.

DH wouldn't go on with me either, ended up going by myself and can now taunt him about what a wimp he is forever!!!!! :rotfl2:

I enjoyed the rush of the HULK ....It does make my legs wabble a little afterwards...but it goes away after a few minutes.

The one that kicks my bu** is Dualing Dragons...I rode "FIRE" twice now and both times it took me a few hours to get over...(I now pass on this ride!)

I'd say talk him into a ride on "Fire" and if all is fine...then tell him Hulk a little more tame.

I don't know if you want to knock out and carry a 235 lb. man! You can do it if you want, Mr. Universe.

"I ain't riding no coaster!"

ditto...I don't ride Hulk, Dr Doom or Dueling Dragons. DH is fine with this. Yes - he's pushed me to do space mountain (yes -i'm a wimp) and now I can finally do that no problem. but he knows whenever he asks "wanna ride with me" in front of hulk the answer will always be no.

DS will ride Mummy and Space Mt. so he's not scared of all coasters just the Hulk I think it's a mental thning because he can actually see all the twist and turns. Where as The Mummy and Space Mt. are indoors just a thought. My 11 year old will ride it with me and we make fun of DH and he could care less.

I also agree with Motherfletcher The Hulk is not scarier than Andrew and we survived Andrew. We owe our 11 year old son :wizard: to Andrew (no electricty for 3 months after Andrew, and we were one of the lucky ones)
