One of DH's suppliers has a box at Old Trafford and DH has been invited to watch the match this afternoon (he's a Boro fan.) I've only done Corporate hospitality once (at Cov City's old ground) but it's a totally different world to get a sit down meal beforehand and a cuppa in a proper cup at half time!

Had originally intended to go up with him and go to the Trafford centre but it's a late kick off! I'll be happy in the garden!:beach:

hope he enjoys the game ( ive never fancied being in a box....its not the same as being on the terraces yelling loudly at the ref :lmao: )

My DH was there on Wednesday. His work let him take 3 customers for Corporate Hospitality. He has never been before so was very excited(he tried not to show it of course:lmao: ).They flew from Aberdeen to Manchester in the morning then went to Hard Rock cafe for the Afternoon the on to Old Trafford for Dinner and the game. They got a trip around the museum as well. They then went on to a casino and home the next day!

Tough to work for a living eh:lmao:

Never mind he did sweeten me up with some duty free

(he's a Boro fan.) :

Sounds a lovely day for him. We are from the Boro and the youngest supports them, hubbie from Liverpool so he doesn't and oldest isn't into footie.

I hope he enjoyed himself, though really he should've gone to see Cov City get beaten by Sheffield Weds :rotfl2:

My husband got given tickets for him and my son in a corporate hospitality box at Old Trafford for the first game of the season. The box, waitress served 3 course meal, seats, view etc was fantastic. Unfortunately their beloved Fulham lost 5-1.:sad1: Set the tone for the season really.

Still, Boro did well to get a draw there.

Look at all the Boro fans attached to the DIS!

Jackie - sounds like a fab jolly. Dh is bringing me back a cookie though!

Hildasmurial - what a shame on the result :( The first match I took DH to (at Luton Town!) the Boro lost 5-1. We were sitting in home end as I was a member and the kid in front of us figured quickly DH was a Boro fan and grinned at him after every goal

He had a lovely time thanks with a nice meal and from what he said on the phone a good performance from the Boro (sounds like they were on top second half). Just the drive home now for him now but he should be back at 10ish

Mandy - I can quite believe Cov City lost again! Took Molly a couple of weeks ago (quite an experience with a fidgety 4-year-old!) and they didn't have a clue up front or in midfield. Acutually their defence wasn't too hot either which doesn't leave much does it! :confused3. I'd forgotten how theraputic it was to shout at the players and the ref.

LOL Joh, and being the true Cov City fan that I am, I stayed at home and watched some paint dry :rotfl: :rotfl:

:lmao: :lmao:

could be worse hun you could be a lieicester fan !!! we did actually manage a WIN yesterday though :woohoo: might stop us from being relegated now
