I love WDW during Easter time- but with his job, he can not get the days off.

Our DS will be 18 if we move our WDW vacation to 2011.
Then we have to pay extra for him at the WDW resort:scared1:
Our DS has not decided on which college to go to - so I do not know his 2010 - 2011 college vacation schedule.

I know I can get a JetBlue credit to use next year (loss of $400 = $100 per person to cancel).

The resort, HDD, and other TS fees can be reimbursed if I cancel by 2/28/10.
Plus I will open up ADR's for other guests to use during Easter 2010 week.
I have ADR's at LeCellier, Coral Reef, Princess breakfast in Norway, HDD level 1, Tony's, O'hana's and others families may desire.

I may have to move our WDW vacation to June 2011, after NY Regents - the hot, muggy, rainy days at WDW.

What do you think of a June 2011 visit to WDW for 10 days ?

It costs extra for an 18 year old at the resort?

Yes, anyone 18 years and older is an adult and can reserve a room.

For WDW deluxe & S/D resorts an extra adult (more than 2 adults per room)= $25/night

For WDW moderate resorts an extra adult (more than 2 adults per room)= $15/night

For WDW value resorts an extra adult (more than 2adults per room)= $10/night

I think June 2011 will be a great time to visit WDW. :thumbsup2
(Sorry you may have to move your trip. It's seems like you've done a lot of planning for it & have some terrific ADRs).

My family will be there with our DD & her best friend in June 2011. We're taking them for their High-School graduation gifts. We'll be spending the week at BCV in a 2BR.

We know it will be hot..but that's what SAB is for. :beach:

Sorry you need to reschedule your trip. I must say I hate Florida in June, too rainy and muggy, if you don't mind the rain and humidity then it's ok. Can you pick another month?

I am so sorry to hear this. I know your pain. With being a military family we have to hold our breath every time we book a trip. My DH is always worried that they will call him at the last minute to work. So we are not sure if we can keep our trips until the days we leave. It's awful. :grouphug:

My dh was in the same situation but because he started a new job. He found out 2 weeks ago he gets a week so we are all set. But he told me to take the kids anyway. Is it a option for you and your kids to go?

Not for tickets but for rooms yes there is. I think it's $15 a night for an additional adult in the room.

Price varies depending on what level resort you are staying at.
I believe Deluxe is $25.00/adult/night.

Moderates a little lower with value being the cheapest.

DH did say we could go- just me, DW, DS age 17 (18 in May) and DD age 14 (15 in June).

But I would hate to leave him home. It will be our 25th anniversary on April 2, 2010 and want to celebate together.

He did say, maybe he could fly down with us on Wed 3/31/10 and leave on Tuesday 3/5/10 - this way he would only miss 5 days of work, we could still celebrate our anniversary together. Then we would have Tuesday afternoon till Saturday with just us 3 and he would pick us up at the airport on Saturday.

Why not do this then?

DH did something similar one time when DS was little (and DH still wanted to come with us). He had to work during part of the trip so he just came down and joined us later.

I agree, do that! We took a few trips and DBF had to leave early so it was just the girls and I. While we missed him and it felt different without him we still had a great time.

If you could do that and you dh wouldn't mind I would go for it. It will only cost you 100.00 vs 400.00.
