I've booked him a surprise segway tour. I considered the Petty race car thing, but I don't think he'd enjoy the thrill based on the cost. He's not into racing just thrill rides. Last time we went he wasn't even impressed by mission space! I'd appreciate any tips you might offer to help him find his inner child again! I'm kind of at a loss. I want it to be a great trip or I know we won't be going back. Cirque De Sol Le?

... but you may have to compromise and take a day or two for Universal and Islands of Adventure -- esp. if thrill rides are his thing. I know someone suggested that already, I think... another slightly offbeat alternative would be to see if he would like a friend to join you -- especially one that hasn't been to WDW before... he could sort of see the joys and magic through his friends eyes... not to mention having a buddy to cruise around with -- they could do DTD or Disney Quest together... the water parks too... let's face it... at that age, anything is more fun with a buddy. right?

the bringing a buddy part, I was referring to your ds not DH -- lol -- YOU are his buddy! :)
 :p :smooth: :sunny:

How about an Illuminations cruise or the dolphin experience at the Living Seas? Or maybe one of the tours that WDW offers. Since he likes thrill rides, how about Universal? You could stay onsite and you'd get front of the access. They definitely have more thrill rides at Universal if that's what he prefers. You could maybe come to a compromise and do a few days at both WDW and Universal.

Does he play golf? Plenty of options there. Does he like boats(water sprites?), does he like beer/drinks?...there's Epcot and the brewery at the Boardwalk. Would he like a massage? The resorts have that option. Does he like to sleep late...oops:eek: too bad;)

There are plenty of golf course at WDW. Maybe let him play golf and you play in the parks some.

This isn't in Disney, but I found a place called Skyventures in Orlando. It is the feel of skydiving, but you are in a room that has really large fans that allow you to float. I am booking this next February to keep DH interested (he isn't excited about another Disney trip either  ). Sorry I don't have the website, but you can look them up by searching "Skyventures".

I don't think anyone has listed this one ~ how about parasailing at WDW?

Since he likes beer, how about a night or two at Pleasure Island? You could go to the comedy club, the dance clubs, etc.?

You could also head over to the Boardwalk area and check out the ESPN lounge. If he's into sports and having a good beer, this might be a great place for him. Then walk on over to Disney Quest for some virtual reality attractions.

It's hard to get someone who is not into Disney into Disney. I know. I've been working on my DH for years. He's sort of coming around, but he still complains about the prices and sort of has a hard time relaxing and just enjoying it. Not sure what their deal is, but I am certainly not going to let it spoil my fun!

Purchase your DH a pair of Mickey Mouse ears with his name on them.

I did that for DH (who normally wouldn't even consider it) and he did wear them...

Maybe even a character meal - DH is now requesting we do them more often so he can interact with the characters.

After 3 trips, I gave him 3 options for a trip this year, thinking he would want to go to Las Vegas or California - I was amazed when he chose Disney World - so believe me, they can be converted!!!

How about a massage at the SSR spa? There are fishing trips he could take. Sometimes all the men want to do is erst- spend some time at the resort pool- and enjoy a great dinner at Calif. Grill or Victoria's and Alberts. There is so much to do at WDW then just visit the parks. Go to hte bookstore nad find a book called WDW for Adults - there'll be tons of suggestions in there!

here is a suggestion. I don't remember what it is called, but it is down on the strip. it is a cross between bunjee jumping and parasailing.
they send you up three stories and you pull the rip-cord and "fly"! you go over the main road.

I will have to ask hubby. he did it a few years ago. he made them let him down a little:hyper:

he had done it on our honeymoon and it was not as high in a different location (in kissamee near the go carts) and this one was really high he said.

I think that would be like a "thrill ride"

What makes DH happy when in WDW?( HE is not a fanatic like me. He goes with me because I love it).

To keep him happy we do parasailing, round of golf, and dinner at the ESPN. That outta do it!

Leave him at home! LOL That is what I did last time. Took the kids and went with my sister and her dd. He really likes it but not as frequent as I do. Next time I am compramising and we are spending the first part of our trip at US and IOA. I told him we would do that and then go to the "REAL" parks!!

That is exactly what I am doing on this trip.:teeth: He will go in 2005!

Wow...my wife and I both love Disney, but I'm the one who posts here, although I keep telling her she needs to register and participate :)

Try and book breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table, maybe all the princesses surrounding him will make him change his mind :hyper:
