Boy do I feel bad for our fuel company at our store!!
DH called last Sat and said he had 1/2 tank- can they come this week...sure, be there Thursday or Friday...
fast forward to today....with wind chills at store, -40'.....Fuel company comes this morning...dumps fuel in tank- SUPPOSE to have added the additive for "unprotected tanks"...tank is against the building with a "hut" built around it.
4pm- DH and employee realize it's gettin kind of cold in the store...hmmmmm furnace isnt running...DH calls Fuel Company- also burner techs...guy tells him he has no one to come...just leave it..if the pipes freeze DH has insurance... yeah, thats just what we want to happen....
DH reminds guy that they were JUST there and the tank could not have jelled, HAD they put the additive in it...Tank is NOT exposed to wind, hut is insulated, just not heated....guy tells DH....
"Can you prove the driver didnt add it?"....
DH went off on the guy. Ran down to hardware store and bought a little heater that people put under there desks...has a million safety features, so fire is not a risk. Puts it near where the pipes enter the building 10 minutes later the furnace was back on....
Needless to say, we WONT be buying fuel from this company again....Fuel price is competitive, not cheap, but the customer service S*CKS!
