DH is going to a conference in Orlando in February

I want to tag along.

Hotel will be paid for; his airfare will be paid for. If I take DD12 out of school for 2 days, we can have 3 days in the parks if I buy new park hoppers or 1 day in the parks if I use up my last leftover day. Now if I can just find some cheap airfares in early February...

We are going with DH in about 3 weeks. In case you don't know if it is a conference registered with Disney you get reduced park tickets too. I just purchased ours for our upcoming trip.

I checked and it doesn't look like they have discount tickets available. Still, if all I have to pay is airfare for two, I wouldn't mind using the last day on our old hoppers and just hanging out by the pool if it's warm (or downtown disney) the other days.

No. I am not exactly sure yet, but I think it will be the Marriott World Center. The conference has no Disney connection at all.

Oh. That stinks. We are staying at a Disney resort. But others booked other hotels that are offered. All got Disney ticket discounts. I can give you a # for Disney Conventions to check and be sure if you like. His conference is at the Orange County Convention Center not at Disney.

I'm not sure we will be able to go yet. I am still trying to work it out. He's going for sure. It's still up in the air if DD and I will go.

Punkin, I hope that you get to go. We have gone with DH in Feb twice before and loved it! The crowds were so low. Had at least one pool day out of our 4 or 5 day trips. One very cold day each trip too.

The only problem we had was our flight back last time. It was snowing in KC then so we were stuck at the airport. MD always seems to get great rates to Orlando. Hope that you can score some nice rates there. It will be nice to get away from the MD weather for a few days. We just moved from MD a couple of years ago.

Been here 3 years now. Love it! There are some things about MD that I miss though. We still have family and friends there.

I am hoping that it warms up in Orlando for our January trip.

I am tagging along with DH for a workshop in March. We got our airfare while it was still $299.00 plus fees but I don't have the hotel yet. His conference is at the Florida Mall so I am looking at booking near US. I am soooo looking forward to it. I have non-expiring WDW tickets from trips past and I can catch a shuttle any time while he is busy during the day.

I just looked at our leftover park hoppers and mine and DD's have 2 days left while DH's has 3 days. Definitely enough for a short trip, particularly if we do a Harry Potter day at IOA. We could do parks on Sat and Sun with DH and hang out Monday and Tuesday. Or just DD and I could do IOA on either Mon or Tues while DH is at conference. We would fly back on Wednesday...and DH would still have a day left over on his hopper.

I have my fingers crossed that DH's boss will say that he needs to go to a conference at WDW in March. We probably won't know until much closer to the date of the conference but I'm hopeful since they usually send him. Love those WDW located conferences!!

My dh has a conference at the Dolphin in March and he wants me to come along but I'm not sure I could be that close to Disney and not do the parks. I know we could get reduced cost tix but we have a huge vacation planned in June and I don't want to spend a ton in March. Dh says come and hang out at the Dolphin pool, go to Downtown Disney, visit the resorts, etc. What do you guys think? Could you go without going to any parks?
