I don't know how he can stand it, lol...

I used to do them before turbotax and always had them done in feb.

Tonight, he is doing our and his mom's

Guess it is a boring night for me!

We did ours a long time ago, but my boss was doing hers, her boyfriends, her brothers, her sisters and her parents today. They didn't even owe, they were getting money back, why wait?

I thought for sure we would owe, but through some weird fluke and the fact that tuition can be written off, we actually get some back...about 1k.

Again...why does he put it off, lol.

I guess our interest can be our donation to the public fund, lol.

Picked ours up from our tax man yesterday. Still have to mail them out though.

Procrastinators unite!
I have filed the extension. Given my history, I will most likely file another extension in August. Then when I can procrastinate no more and I am down to the wire along about mid October, I will get my hinnie into gear and do them.

We should get our refund back in time to use towards our Disney trip, hey it worked last year I had extra spending $$$ :lmao:

My dad is a huge procrastinator and has a standing appt with his tax preparer for the day they are due. Mom and dad are going Monday at 3p to get theirs done this year.

Work has been crazy for both of us and the hockey season just recently let up a bit. We're doing ours tomorrow!

Husband just did ours yesterday. We are getting a great chunk back. Why he waited I do not know. Drove me nuts.

we just did ours tonight. sadly we had to pay a huge amount, first time ever we had to pay :(

My parents are working on thrirs as I type. I did mine in Jan. since I new I would be getting a refund.

You no longer have to file a second extension in August. They changed it this year that your extension you file on 4/15 is an automatic 6 month extension to 10/15.

My DH is working hard today, poor guy. I think that he hoped if he ignored the taxes long enough they would go away.

I have a home daycare (only one child, but still the paperwork and deductions) and he has a home office, so it's a lot of work. Most of the work is figuring out all the deductions and finding all the receipts. Every year we say we're going to be very organized keeping everything together, and we start out ok, but then we don't stay organized. To make it worse, last years info wasn't saved since the hard drive he had it on crashed, so he had to hand enter everything since it couldn't carry over like it usually does.

Just thought I'd update that as of 5:34pm today, mine were completed and e-filed!! And...good news for me...the parent company of the company I work for has a financial company under its umbrella and gave all of us that work for the parent company free e-filing, so it didn't even cost me this year! Woohoo!

:cheer2:

I've been ignoring ours, too, hoping they would change the tax code and we wouldn't have to file!

We own a business and that's the worst part, doing the business financials and then our personal. I always say I'm going to start earlier, but always wind up doing them at the last minute. I was playing around with them tonight with the Turbo Tax disk on the non internet computer since DS was on VMK and the DIS. It seems we are getting a bit back so I'll just file for an extension if I don't get them done tomorrow. Then I'll finish by the end of the week, although, did you say the extension was for 6 months. :rotfl2:

Another procrastinator here. Last year we had to pay so I was in no hurry....that darn thing about 17 year olds not getting child credit thingie. This year though to my delight and surprise we get a lot back due to Hope Credit. But if I had known I still would have waited. Mine was finished Wed but I finished DDs yesterday.

we wait til the last second cause we always owe. We dread finding out how much. This years damage is $900 less than last year tho :cool1:

DH is in Iraq so we get a "reprieve". I got two rather small checks from the IRS called 'interest'. I know I will be sending it back but I never received anything like this before. :confused3

We actually finished ours a day early. We're usually the ones going to the P.O. around 11:30pm on the due date.

We always owe. :guilty:
