DH is Coming Home!!!

My DH has been deployed in Kuwait since Sept 1st. He is coming home tonight on our aniversary. The kids and I will all meet him at the airport! Can't wait! I am not telling his mother or the rest of his family. They have been pretty absent since he left. They know he is back on U.S. soil and that is all they need to know for now.

I am very happy for you. I truly admire the spouses of our military people -- I don't know how you do it. My dh was in India for two weeks recently, and it was difficult not to worry every minute. It was such a relief when he called and said he was in Chicago.

I am so happy for you DawnCT, I remember when my DH returned home from Desert Storm, 4 days before our anniversary in 1991, (9 months to the day later our DD was born!!) Give him our thanks and a "Welcome Home" from us!! Merry Christmas!!

That is AWESOME news!! What a great anniversary present - one that you will never forget.

On January 3, 1996 my dad was deploid to Bosnia and spent 9 months there. It was very hard on my mom but she made it through!! My sister and I were older (I was 22 and my sister was 24) so we were able to take care of ourselves, but it was still hard. The homecoming was great, something I will never forget.

Enjoy every minute of it!!
