Ok, so I think I'm convinced now. So if I'm getting a deal for $195 for the 8 days with taxes and all for a full-size, should I go ahead and book now or wait until closer since we aren't going until Sept? I've never rented before, so I'm not sure???

If it is thru the car rental co and it is cancellable, I would. Just check before booking that you can cancel- you may change your mind- I did go to hotwire and put your dates in for a full size car and it was a little more than the quote above.

If you book on hotwire or priceline you are locked in- no changes no cancellation.
